Definitely a problem, thus why I'd be more or less fine if they recycled the Safehold if they absolutely couldn't make it work. Of course, we could go further back in time or something, that has potential weirdness.

But ultimately, paradoxes can be avoided. Plus if access to the area required CoP completion and most of WotG completion, you could conceivably even have some sort of storyline where you do something to prepare certain young citizens in the past for some dangerous event that happens after the events of CoP (after this X megaevent I can't tell you about, and you can't tell me about until after the event, there will be Y event that is potentially more dangerous that we have to prepare for!).

If you also are set to visit the Safehold, you could also prepare them for twenty years of isolation.

The only major concern I have for temptation for paradoxes would have to be:

Stopping the er... future of the Chebukki siblings in a semi-violent way.

    WotG Spoiler:

Jueno is only there to be involved with the storyline of the crystal war. It was closed to the public as it was beginning to surrender to Shadow Lord's army... The Shadow Lord Army lost that war and was the turning point in the war. Because of that loss, the beastmen then decided it would be best to divert their attention to Tavnazia and the Northlands.

More attention was brought to the Northlands and that battle than the battle on Tavnazia with the 4 nations because they felt that would cripple the shadow lord. Losing Tavnazia was, as I view it, a sacrifice madefor the greater good of the war.

Actually the reason the beastmen attacked Tavnazia was because the 3 nations (or maybe just sandy) had to save themselves somehow from destruction. They took the "secret weapon" and took it to tavnazia and let that info spill to the beastmen in order to divert their force to tavnazia. I think that is when they decided to attack in Xarcabard (and lose).

Windurst quest line definitely mentions the preamble to it.

    Spoiler
You kind of inadvertently become responsible for it by repelling a beastman attack on Jeuno, and they reroute for Tavnazia.

Jeuno (S) was never going to happen, it was not in the original zone listing that came with the CD. (It was not until Abyssea that zones were added via download.)

Tavnazia would have been a hornet's nest had they added it in because at some point when doing the mission, you would have been no longer able to access the zone. People would have had conniptions over that sort of thing, which is why they probably didn't add it in.

I agree with have a Tavnazia [S]. That would be incredible. I believe there can be more things to do during the Crystal War era.

San'doria alone sets up the destruction of Tavnazia after hearing the Orcs were building up a large invasion force to crush their capital. Desperate to avoid the shame of defeat, they made a call that would forever change Vana'diel.

Diverting the Orcs through a ruse involving "secret documents" regarding a superweapon (WMDs!) saved Sandy by sending the invasion force towards Tavnazia to retrieve the weapon (Lightbringer).

What was done to a staunch ally could be considered the biggest dick move in all Vana'diel. This coming from the people who are obsessed with honor and bravery. It's amusing actually.

Jeuno [S] was never planned to be added, so I'm not sure where anyone got that idea. What DOES annoy me though, is how cryptic some of the later WOTG missions involving going to jeuno are. Too many of them don't tell you where you're really supposed to go, and you can be in Batallia, told to go to jeuno, and not realize you have to go to Saramugue Champaign [S] and check the jeuno door there. Why they couldn't make it so you could just check any of the doors, I don't know...
