Slime for me.. BST could do with a fine high damage resistance jug outside of Abyssea for blood tanking. Voidwatch is punishing enough for BSTs as it is.

Are so many players really voting based on what the model looks like???
Please Beastmasters, gamepay is so much more significant than the model of the pet!! The interaction of pet abilities and traits, THATS what will make the difference.
Slimes are nice pets, but really, WE have TONS of pets that can tank well (not to mention eta biscuits + dawn mulsum mean there are few situations we cannot keep pet alive indefinitely. ESPECIALLY when its just physical damage.... how much -pdt pet gear is there!!! slime will be completely worthless for tanking something that casts decent magic... if you want another tank.. get somethign w/ good magic resistance, but really, don't you want some better dd output and/or unique traits/abilities instead?!!?)

Bsts need a pet that can DD well. You can already do well enough for tanking with what you have. A slime will most likely get a nerf down to the point where you'd pick a mob that does more damage anyway despite dying slightly faster.
You already have a high eva/thf (TH) pet, which is the ladybug. Ruszor gives bst something they don't have already.
Also, the Adamantoise *is not* going to be a 2hr mob. It was stated to be a jug pet along with the apkallu around the 99 cap update. So it's already there for tanking. It was stated that Behemoth like mobs would be the 2hr pets for bst just like Alex/Odin are 2hr only for smn.
Ruszor is honestly the only way to go.
"Since of course Behemoth and the four gods are quite popular, as we mentioned in the job concepts briefly, we would like to look into implementing these as a special type of pet similar to the avatars Odin/Alexander."
Camate mentioned this earlier in the thread. Don't vote based on the fact that you think the Genbu type mob they showed us will be a jugpet.
If Ruszors don't have their tp moves nerfed, or come with 3 charge uses then I'd vote for them. We really need more statistical info on these pets though. If for nothing else it would help avoid any future arguments within the beast community based upon who voted for what.
That's like saying we don't need anymore damage dealing pets because we have the sheep.
I'd like the option to choose from different mob types even if we already do have a TH pet. Hippogryph is bird-type, and cool ;P Choke Breath and Nihility Song sound nice (though will be nerfed knowing SE), and let's not forget monster correlation.
Ecosystem advantages and jug diversity, yes please.
My vote goes to Slime.

Hecteyes. For that matter, give out two different Hecteyes jugs - one that's just like a normal one, and one that's lighter-colored and uses only white magic. (That second one would just be an entertaining mob to see added to the game in general. There aren't enough true-WHM mobs to fight out there.)
Camate i think we need a re-vote. This topic is too sidetracked by misunderstandings and misinformation.
Most people don't even realize that you are only planning to implement 1 of these pets. And are voting for 5-6 pets.
Other people think your last message meant "pick between slime and ruszor" when it meant slime and ruszor have the most votes atm.
And ultimately none of us have enough details to make this decision.
Just in case, we don't get more info, or a recount.
Let me break it down for some of you.
I guarantee ruszor wont keep its magic shield and physical shield. Why would they nerf our DT just to give it back to us in the form of a TP move? And the slug shows us that they consider healing from a particular element to strong to leave unerfed. If your voting for ruszor its a vote driven by wishful thinking.
If you want pure DD you should be voting for SCORPION. I promise you it will be the highest DD jug we have ever had. The damage of jug pets is largely affected by pet attack. Sharp strike is a 50% atk boost that lasts for 4 min and 15 seconds. This is 2 times as strong as berserk from warrior without the defense down and lasts for a whole minute longer. On top of that, it has Death scissors wich is a nice single target, and wild rage wich is a nice AoE, while still maintaining many debuffs. And on a side note, scorpions are immune to poison. This makes several NMs that used to be troublesome due to poison auras, much easier.
If you want another evasion tank with MORE offense, then you should be voting for HIPPOGYPH
If you want another physical tank you should be voting for SLIME, (please keep in mind we have lots of physical tank options atm)
If you want a strong DD (not as strong as scorpion but still high DD) with utilitarian options then you should be voting for HANUMAN.
If you want a strong magic tank you should be asking for a CRAB (keeping in mind we already have lots of tanks)
Until Camate graces us with more info on the parameters of the pets on the master list, all the other pet options are pretty much red herrings and thus potentially wasted votes.

Agree with everything you said in your post, but I think it's too late at this point. Now we can justhope That SE doesn't remove the abilities and traits that most people are expecting these monsters to have in jug form, or at the very least reduce the effectiveness rather than completely removing them.
