Powerful and questable items like Black Belt/Evoker Ring for all jobs.

MNK have Belt quests, mages have spell quests, SMN has Evoker Ring quest, NIN has scroll quests. Can you introduce more quests for more jobs that reward them with JOB SPECIFIC equipment?

For example Introduce a line of quests that deals with investigating rumors of evil dragons involving BCNM solo fights of the DRG vs the Dragon or something that's rewarded with new breath abilities for our wyvern or a drg only piece of equipment.

You know, The concept of this idea isn't half bad. They could make some Items specific for each job... I think a neck or ring item? I know i could think of the Thief one instantly...

    ------------------The Item---------------------
    Mihgo Charm (Rabbit Charm model)
    Lv.99 THF
    DEF:3 DEX+5 Critical hit Rate +5%
    Occ. Evades Physical Attack +3%

    ------------------The Quest-------------------

    Quest name: Legacy
    Starter: Nanaa Mihgo
    Item Required: Mihgo Mithkabob.
Quest Requirements: All THF AF completed.
    THF Maat completed.
Past "A Manifest Problem" in WoTG Windurst Quest line.
    -
Start the quest by talking to Nanaa, who mentions she was recently reminiscing about a Mithkabob her mother used to make. Obtain a Mihgo Mithkabob and bring it to her. The Mihgo Mithkabob can be obtained by beating "A Manifest Problem", or by (after activating the quest) speaking to Romaa in Windurst Waters (S).
*Note you must be past "A Manifest Problem" to obtain the Mithkabob regardless.

After trading the Mithkabob, Nanaa tells you she was thinking about her Mother and Father due to a tale her Father told of her a rare Mithran treasure, which he had lost in a Skirmish in a place called "Fort Karugo-Narugo". Nanaa doesn't remember the whole story, and can't recall where in the fort he was when he said he lost it. Saying she's looked darn near everywhere, but the place was in such disarray any chance of finding it in this era was near impossible.

After the cutscene, head to Windurst Waters (S) and speak with Romaa Mihgo to find Lehko Habhoka. You mention the item to Lehko, who is confused you know of it. He claims he did lose it recently in Fort K-N. He mentions looking around for it, and that he had lost it just outside the fort walls to the east. Head to E-9 near the water and click on the ??? for a cutscene.

in the cutscene you'll find a shiny object on the ground, when picked up you are ambushed by a Yagudo soldier. You struggle with it and the item falls into the Bastore Sea and is swept away by the current. Cutscene ends and you must face a Yagudo Ronin. The Yagudo Ronin will be slightly difficult for a level 90 player, but doable. Its a Ninja enemy and uses the "unique" yagudo TP moves. once dispatched click the ??? again.

During this cutscene your character peers into the Bastore sea. Lehko enters and asks you if you had found anything. you describe what happens. Lekho explains the Bastore sea runs into Windurst, which drains into Toraimarai Canal. Explains its "Impossible to get into the Canal during wartime, However", and the cutscene ends.

After the Cutscene, head to Windurst and speak with Nanaaa, Explain you have a hunch its in Toraimarai Canal. She mentions "Its possible it could have fallen into the bastore sea..." Next, go with Nanaa to Toraimarai Canal. when you zone in you get a cutscene in which you see a suspicious character walking toward Full Moon fountain. Nanaa recognizes them as known Treasure hunters, and follows them. head to F-8 And click on the ??? in the area. You'll get another cutscene where you see the person again, this time with 2 other people who are holding the "Charm" you're after. They mention taking it and walk in to Full moon fountain to use the "Back Exit". Nanaa mentions that the three are a group of notorious treasure hunters, known far and wide in the Thief community. She says we must follow them to retrieve the charm.

Once finished, Head inside Full Moon fountain to enter the BCNM "Legacy".

Once inside a cutscene starts where you confront the 3 people, and explain to them where the treasure comes from, and that it should be returned to Nanaa. They refuse you and insist to sell it, Claiming they found it fair and square. Nanaa insists one more time that her family heirloom be returned to her. They refuse and attack. Nanaa knocks out the Elvaan instantly, and the others step back and pull out their weapons.

Now, You enter combat against 2 NPCs, a Taru, a Hume, You fight along side Nanaa Mihgo, this is a Solo BCNM and only accessible to Thieves level 95+.

    Treasure Hunter Leonard
    HP:4,500
    Job: THF/NIN (1x Dagger)
Strat: Uses Ninjutsu attacks and a Crossbow. Stays at Distance. Crossbow hits had random En-effect from Defense Down, Drain, Blind, or sleep. Uses Heavy Shot and Sidewinder. Also rarely a unique Weaponskill called "Bounty Blast". A 1hit attack that temporary "steals" a piece of armor. (Armor is dequipped and locked, He gains the effects of armor for the duratoin (about 1 minute)). In Range he will use Viper Bite, Wasp Sting, or shark Bite.

    Treasure Hunter Luko-Taruko
    HP:4,600
    Job: THF/MNK (h2h)
Strat: Luko will attack players directly. He uses Chi Blast and Steal. Chi Blast will inhibit TP and deal about ~150/200 Damage. Steal reduce your accuracy or attack, and Luko will gain the a benefit depending. Uses Shoulder Tackle, Howling Fists, Asuran Fists, and rarely a WS "X's Marks the Spot", a 2 Hit attack that deals Critical Damage and lowers your Defense, Accuracy, Attack, and Evasion.

    ------Support-----
    Nanaa Mihgo
    HP:5,000
    Job:THF/NIN
Strat: Nanaa will assist and help you, Preforming Skillchains with you while speaking in say. She will occasionally use a Unique Ability called "Mihgo's Surprise", which is an AoE friendly effect that recovers HP and TP, and resets 1 Job Ability. Nanaa Will attempt to Sneak attack enemies when She is not tanking.

(if)At 50% HP, Nanaa will use Perfect Dodge.

Nanaa can use Plunder(Steal) and Rob(mug), Plunder will deal moderate damage (about 200) and Inflict Defense down. Rob Will take the Enemies HP or TP, and inflict Stun (Drains about ~300 HP, up to 100TP, and Stun duration about ~5sec). She will say something before using those abilities.

"Let me show you how its really done <player>!" - Plunder
"I'll be taking that!" - Rob
"I've got a few tricks of my own..." - Sneak Attack
"It'll Take more than a couple of amateurs to take out the infamous Cat Burglar! - Migho Surprise
"Tsk... Time to pull out my ace!" - Perfect Dodge

    -------

Once Defeated, a Cutscene plays and you take the charm back from the Bandits, Nanaa thanks you and mentions she owes you so much for finding this, she asks you to come speak with her later for your reward. Return to Nanaa Mihgo. after a Small cutscene with Nanaa and Flashbacks to her childooh with Romaa, Nanaa will thank you for all the work you put into finding the charm. She holds it tightly against he and looks at it for a moment. After a moment of silence, she says she feels you should have it, explaining "It reminded me of a happier time, And I'm grateful to have seen this marvelous item after so long. But I the thrill of the hunt, and my memories, are all i need. Thank you."

After the Cutscene, You'll receive your reward, the Mihgo Family Charm.

Hope you enjoy~ Obviously difficulty/stats on item can be adjusted. its the idea of it i like the sound of.

*also, "Occ Evades Physical Attacks +3%" will basically be a Perfect Dodge effect 3% of the time, it'll say "player dodges the attack".

I'd hope for something more interesting than this, at least. [As it's basically be a slight upgrade from Rancor Collar for most of us.]
But, I do like the idea of job specific equipment that doesn't suck, regardless of the effort to make it.
Just hope it's worthwhile, like Black Belt.

    My Original concept was

    Lv.99THF Neck
    DEX+6 AGI+6 Haste+3%
    Critical hit Rate +6%
    Critical hit Damage +6%
    Occ. Evades Physical Attack +5%

(Note: with Haste+3%, Full THF AF3+2 can be worn with 26% haste still possible)

Then i thought to myself it might be too powerful and fall into the realm of "Impossible"... then i thought "well it could happen if the quest was extremely hard"... then i thought "Well, I can't really think of a really hard quest..." to which i thought "Maybe make it just a good item thats an upgrade to whatever"... I thought Critical hit rate, and as such i thought it would need to then beat Rancor Collar (which as it stands is the best TP/WS Collar for a few jobs ATM).

So that idea was born. Truthfully, I want it to be on the level of broken that is Black Belt... But IDK. The item i settled on seemed rather "powerful" considering the other alternatives we currently have for neck armor.

But regardless, trust me when i say I re-wrote the charm dozens of times in my head trying to come up with something unique, realistic, and powerful.

Also, More interesting? >_> Condescending much =.=a? I thought it was rather interesting... took a long time to settle on that. Could be more overwhelming, But i tried to keep it a bit realistic.

If there were a ten buck expansion with nothing but 20 job quests/job-specific rewards in the vein of what Krabnuckle just described, I'd probably buy it.

Then again, I spent twelve bucks on a double cheeseburger with mozzarella sticks and mushroom gravy earlier today, so perhaps my money management skills are questionable.

Great idea. I can't believe how SE still doesn't add new story or lore-related content, considering so many people express vast interest in that. And if they put rewards like Evoker's Ring or Black Belt at the end, it would be appealing to other players as well. I'd probably even level some jobs to see their stories and special quests (like AF quests and G5 for SCH, which, by the way, if you haven't seen/done them yet, why are you still here?).

Not everything has to be job specific equipment. As noted, Ninja has scroll quests, and if you think about this further, Summoner quests summons, Black Mage quests Sleepga II and teleportation, White Mage quests teleportation, Scholar quests a spell, Puppet quests frames, and so on.

I don't know about specific stats on equipment, but I can say that I hope that Meteor (but not necessarily Comet) should definitely be a quested spell, getting new job abilities would be a nice thing to quest (instead of blandly meriting things), and even though it might break with the way Blue Mages traditionally do things, having a single spell that you learn from watching a (obviously repeatable) cut scene while playing as a Blue Mage (other jobs could get the CS, but not the spell) would be great, especially with so many cut scenes where your character gets defeated by the plot.

The meteor quest could involve the 3 Taru from CoP, their father, and their dead mother (Who apparently knew Meteor as well)

Could make a touching story, and theres lots of potential in it.

Dead people? WotG to the rescue!

Although, those NPCs are in my top five most evil NPC list just after Naja... not exactly fond.
