with that said casting diaga in a crab party in the dunes with a bunch of leeches around is the fastest way too kill off 5 other people in ur low lvl party... was my 1st pt... and i didint know what an aoe was.... good times

I was PL a pt of 6. I had pulled a group of goblins so they could pick them off me one by one.

The BLM casted stonega and died. All those delicious exp mobs depopped ;; but I couldn't stop laughing.

I recall saying that you could be doing better at what you are doing with a few swaps. The way I said it may have been snappy, but I said it all the same.

it was implied several times over. You may not realise it, but you kicking my pride in the nuts. (needs to find the funny japanese lil red riding hood commercial XD never gonna look at barney same way after seeing that... i got a 1 year old nephew)
Assuming i'm not a good player because of how you assume I play. And for not gear swaping. using terms like mediocre, or assuming I cause wipes. (never have tbh). I do fine with gear swaping. I find it annoying. Abd to me worthless when I did try it. (was playing my b/fs pld and boy idk how he plays it. his macros were all over the place I was like WTF.....)

If you're not gear swapping, you are doing it wrong.

On WAR, I've seen a 3k damage difference. (Ukko's)
On MNK, I've seen a 3.5k damage difference. (Victory Smite)
On DRG, I've seen a 2k damage difference. (Drakesbane)
On BLU, I've seen a 1.5k damage difference (Quad. w/o CAEF)
On WHM, the difference between a 1.5k Cure VI and a 900 Cure VI is quite serious.
On BLM, who really cares though, just proc damnit.
And that's all just for WS, not even WS frequency if you're TPing in the wrong gear.

Gear is the difference between a good player and a poor one who doesn't really care. I've told several newer players, or inexperienced players about gear swapping, and how much it helps, and they ALWAYS thank me afterwards with results that simply astound them.

I mean, rosina, you talk about getting help for stuff, or giving help as it would be, but what in the world do you need help for? Storyline? It's almost all duoable, if you're good. I have a feeling though, that with out correct gear (Cure Potency on healers says hi, while hMP sets or Refresh sets outside Abyssea also wish to say hi, or also having a good Stoneskin set says hi) you'd be doing a great job.

I'll kick you if you don't gear swap, even if you're a great friend (DEATHGOD IF YOU READ THIS GET YOUR ****ING TP HAT OUT OF YOUR STORAGE YOU MORON), I'll tell you to FIX IT, because you're making ME look bad.

You're DOING IT WRONG. STOP IT. GET GEAR SWAPS OR STOP PLAYING THIS GAME.

1. <stpc> is NOT the same as <stpt> (or <stal>).

2. "I play to have fun blah blah blah" - newsflash!: one person's idea of fun might not be identical to another person's idea of fun.

A lot of players' idea of fun is optimizing their performance, being as efficient as they can be at their chosen job. Gear swaps will enhance, most of the time even greatly enhance said performance. It's not about "taking the game too seriously" - since when is wanting to perform well the same as taking it (whatever "it" might be) too seriously?

Personally, I find it very satisfying to CureVI someone for 1650+ hp (in Abyssea, obviously). I also find it very satisfying knowing I have capped gear haste, and I love seeing those big ws and nuke numbers. I really enjoy doing stuff in game with my friends, whom I know I can trust to be efficient and good at their chosen jobs.

3. For the love of god, giving us an example of how "good" you are not using gearswaps, by telling us how you killed an exp mob as mnk/nin using your 2hr - that's just plain ridiculous.

4. You volunteered the information about your chosen playstyle. And it's an inferior playstyle when it comes to performance and efficiency. Don't get all huffy and try to defend that inferior playstyle when you're being called out on it. Play how you like. Just as the rest of us, who use gearswaps, play how we like.

was in a party on my mnk in CN, exorays kept agroing us and killing us, we where about to call it quits when our pt ldr(brd)
said "we can do it we just got to belive" next fight we got our asses kicked and she d/c's her self, what i learned that day was
just because u belive do something will not protect u from 2 crit hits for 500 and a and a dark spore attack for 1k dmg.

on side note a bst friend of mine was lvl 53 15 times in one day back when bst had to solo and exp was a bitch
