Doing a good job SE.

Among all these other threads about constant complaints, I want to point out that this game is still fun, even though its about 10 years old.

With all of the improvements the dev team has made in the past year along, I want to thank you guys very much for still making this game just as fun, if not more fun, as when I started back in 2005

I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but I still think that there should be a thread about what a good job the dev team is doing for this game, and I hope it continues that way for the long future ahead of this game.

As I have pointed out at least twice in other threads, I still play because I still enjoy the game. The good outweighs the bad (as in the things I'm not so satisfied with) by far.

So yes, thank you SE for all your efforts in keeping the game alive and fun.

Abyssea is nothing else but a giant "Dragon's Aery II" honestly, it's getting worse and worse. I wonder how JP can stand it. Every time I go for a ??? NM i have gimps that take 30 minutes to kill outclaim the ???. So I decide to go in other spot and bam ! Same thing. And I'm playing at EU times ... Definitely NOT fun. Want fun ? Try dynamis. This is when you realise how superficial the "changes" are and the good old event are still the best.

Most of the major NMs were that was a problem at now have not 1, not 2, but 3 ??? so I dont see how its even a problem anymore.

Dynamis isnt even what it was. Dynamis diffidently falls under "new ffxi". Unless you are talking about doing COP dynamis.

I tried to farm seals NMs... Not empyreans weapons NMs. Unfortunately SE can't change this. Abyss should have been 2H limit per day.

Dynamis works pretty much the same on its own except you can do it more often, and as a consequence, can low man relics "quickly" (eyeballing, 2-3 months with 2 friends), and get DL/arch DL gear also with a reasonnable amount of people (4 for DL). Otherwise the strategy is still the same : enter, kill, get drops. Abyssea right now is enter, go to a ???, hope noone is around, hope you didn't waste the time of your entire group because others are blocking you. This is what you get for making an event that anyone can enter anytime, solo, for any amount of time. 300 persons looking for the same gear, people from other time zones waking up early or playing late so that they can pop when nobody is on except EU, doesn't this remind you of anything ? Dynamis is never packed because it's 2H limits.

Abyssea isn't like that.

You are just looking at the negatives without even for once focusing on the positives.

You need to look at things at a better light.

If you really feel this bad about the game, then quit. Nobody is stopping you from doing so. Or take your complaints to another thread.

Adding new ??? for things like Sobek solved nothing. The only thing it changed is increased pressure on NMs like Gukumatz so that linkshells can pop multiple sobeks and brew them all with one brew.

The hell it is to get the key items to pop the NMs you are talking about has only gotten worse. (Not complaining about it though, just pointing out that wrong assumption).

No, Abyssea is exactly the definition of "Dragon's Aery II". It's worse because its 24/7 not a 3 hour thing. If you can go to Misareaux and claim Gukumatz with no pressure or competition, give me a screenshot and tell me what server so I can move there and reap the benefits. (Note: I don't want this changed, this is not a complaint).

If you can't claim crap, then Amber cleave. They added all the Timed KIs to chests anyways.

Is it more efficient when you can actually claim the NMs? No. But it's certainly a perfectly viable alternative for people who can't claim.

The moment the OP responds directly to a derail (Pchan, in this case), it becomes "On Topic". That said, what exactly would you like players to add here anyways? "Yeah, I agree, Post Count +1"? I have no problem with the topic, but it doesn't leave much room for any sort of discussion.

I enjoy the new content. I let the Devs know that by continuing to subscribe to FFXI. If I didn't like playing FFXI, I would stop paying for it. That's really all it comes down to.

I Enjoy the Game. I Enjoy Abyssea, I Enjoy new dynamis, I enjoy Voidwatch, I enjoy everything.

Except Treasure Casket Hunting. It sucks.

These forums were created so that players can give feedback to the Dev's about game content. Whether people approve or disapprove, it's a win-win situation for the Dev's because they can use that information to figure out a balance.

Whether a topic is negative or positive is just a matter of perception.

I like fishing and the fish ranking system. I look forward to additions to this and more cheese sandwiches oh and chocobo racing too.

It has its pluses and its minuses. By all means I encourage that problems be solved, but I love FFXI, I love my job and all the old content and new. People bitch and moan about Aby, but I actually enjoy it, and I had a blast fighting that NM last night. I am happy that I don't have to dedicate my life to playing the game to enjoy it. If I didn't love the game, I would have given in and joined WoW with my some of my friends who play it.

I love this game even more now. This game is finally accessible to the majority of players who wish to live life and also have time to game with their friends on their favorite MMORPG game they like.

I was able to obtain all my AF3 base and get most of my AF3+1 equipments.
I was able to have access in fighting NMs I need to get access to fight wyvern god that I like.
I was able to put time and effort to obtain atmas and accessories that I need for my jobs.
I was able to help my friends do CoP, ZM, and all other missions they need for the enjoyment of the story lines.
I was able to get my abyssite celerity for more Stones per hours.
I was able to leach 6 jobs to lvl68 now and take my time lvling them old school starting from lvl68 with FoV and low man exp parties while skilling up, playing my job, and learning my job in my own pace with less time sinks.
I was able to enjoy fighting big NMs rather than small fries most of the time that I log on with a few hours to play.
I was able to do assaults with friends at lvl90 easier with friends than I previously had at lvl75.
I was able to experience many jobs and learn many jobs I never dreamed of, cause of abyssea.
I enjoy the NM fights that I need, without having to wait HOURS for Repops, thanks to the "???" pop system.
I was able to explore outside abyssea and using zones I never thought I normally use, thanks to Magain Trials!
I am able to earn not only lots of exp but earn Abyssea credits and Notes, and resistance credits to be able to purchase decent or good gear.

Since now I'm a college student with part time job and studies I need to do, I have less time to play the game, But Now I enjoy the fact that I can log in the game for a few hours, and get A LOT DONE without having to give my LIFE for the game I love.

Please work on making the game more playable, user friendly, and enjoyable.
Eliminate any limitations you see, that can stop the contents from being enjoyable.

Make Contents more enjoyable and less of a chore please.
Make the game More fun and add more challenging elements and less time sinks to the game please.
I see a lot of things that still needs to be fixed in game, but for the most part, I'm happy with a lot of things so far.

I'm talking about competition for ??? not for key items (though it doesn't change anything as you still compete for a ???). There is so much difference between starting players and advanced players that new players killing seal NM are taking forever to kill, so If you happen to have competition you have your evening ruined as well as the entire group you took along. All this because you "sucked" too much to outclaim them on a ???. So what should I do ? Play at 7 AM when US just got to sleep and JP just finished lunch ?

I'm glad they released dynamis II as well as gave their intention to buff relics because honestly, fighting for ??? or for a 10 min repop is getting old and boring.

Unlike what Korpg thinks, I don't post to explain I dislike the game, beause I do like it, and I cited dynamis, therefore I don't "quit". I post because I don't like abyssea, and since I play, I'm entitled to give my opinion.

Christ, I agree with Pchan on something. I love Abyssea, but yes ??? competition can be annoying.

My personal solution is to simply absorb groups that are there for seals, since I have no need for them anyways and it ensures I get all the Key Items. Most of the time, though, the only competition I have at ??? are other Empyrean makers.

I agree with this thread 100+ I to was going to make my own thank you thread. I am loving this game right now. SE actually listens to us now. This game is the best it has every been right now.

Not that I necessarily agree that the game is the best its ever been, but I do appreciate the effort the Dev team has put forth into it.

Only for Sobek it hasn't helped because that was never the problem with him anyway it was always the 15 min spawn on Gukumatz. Adding ??? has been a tremendous good indeaver indeed on other NM. They just need to make Gukumatz a forced pop like all the rest. I know why they made him 15 min spawn though, it is because all Sobek's KI are so close together. They should seperate the NM like the do on briareus and make them all forced pops.

Also, what I loved in ffxi from the beggining is still here... the good community, at least from personal experience.

We need more topics like this. OP couldn't be more correct: this game is quite entertaining! And it still feels as it did 7 years ago when I started.

I think the game is much more enjoyable now than it had ever been.

The only reason I take big breaks now is because of real life. I started playing when I was 14 and had all the time in the world to waste on a video game. Now I have college work and had a girlfriend, and have friends that want to hang out. Sometimes work. It's much more difficult to dedicate time to a game!

But the love for Vana'diel is still just as strong if not stronger.

This game has just gotten better.
specially the fact that I can not only enjoy my game online with friends and get stuff done, but I can also put time in Real life too.

The contents are much more enjoyable and the pace is good for players like us.
