Among all these other threads about constant complaints, I want to point out that this game is still fun, even though its about 10 years old.

With all of the improvements the dev team has made in the past year along, I want to thank you guys very much for still making this game just as fun, if not more fun, as when I started back in 2005

I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but I still think that there should be a thread about what a good job the dev team is doing for this game, and I hope it continues that way for the long future ahead of this game.

As I have pointed out at least twice in other threads, I still play because I still enjoy the game. The good outweighs the bad (as in the things I'm not so satisfied with) by far.

So yes, thank you SE for all your efforts in keeping the game alive and fun.

Abyssea is nothing else but a giant "Dragon's Aery II" honestly, it's getting worse and worse. I wonder how JP can stand it. Every time I go for a ??? NM i have gimps that take 30 minutes to kill outclaim the ???. So I decide to go in other spot and bam ! Same thing. And I'm playing at EU times ... Definitely NOT fun. Want fun ? Try dynamis. This is when you realise how superficial the "changes" are and the good old event are still the best.

Dynamis isnt even what it was. Dynamis diffidently falls under "new ffxi". Unless you are talking about doing COP dynamis.

I tried to farm seals NMs... Not empyreans weapons NMs. Unfortunately SE can't change this. Abyss should have been 2H limit per day.

Dynamis works pretty much the same on its own except you can do it more often, and as a consequence, can low man relics "quickly" (eyeballing, 2-3 months with 2 friends), and get DL/arch DL gear also with a reasonnable amount of people (4 for DL). Otherwise the strategy is still the same : enter, kill, get drops. Abyssea right now is enter, go to a ???, hope noone is around, hope you didn't waste the time of your entire group because others are blocking you. This is what you get for making an event that anyone can enter anytime, solo, for any amount of time. 300 persons looking for the same gear, people from other time zones waking up early or playing late so that they can pop when nobody is on except EU, doesn't this remind you of anything ? Dynamis is never packed because it's 2H limits.

Abyssea isn't like that.

You are just looking at the negatives without even for once focusing on the positives.

You need to look at things at a better light.

If you really feel this bad about the game, then quit. Nobody is stopping you from doing so. Or take your complaints to another thread.

Adding new ??? for things like Sobek solved nothing. The only thing it changed is increased pressure on NMs like Gukumatz so that linkshells can pop multiple sobeks and brew them all with one brew.

The hell it is to get the key items to pop the NMs you are talking about has only gotten worse. (Not complaining about it though, just pointing out that wrong assumption).

No, Abyssea is exactly the definition of "Dragon's Aery II". It's worse because its 24/7 not a 3 hour thing. If you can go to Misareaux and claim Gukumatz with no pressure or competition, give me a screenshot and tell me what server so I can move there and reap the benefits. (Note: I don't want this changed, this is not a complaint).

If you can't claim crap, then Amber cleave. They added all the Timed KIs to chests anyways.

Is it more efficient when you can actually claim the NMs? No. But it's certainly a perfectly viable alternative for people who can't claim.

The moment the OP responds directly to a derail (Pchan, in this case), it becomes "On Topic". That said, what exactly would you like players to add here anyways? "Yeah, I agree, Post Count +1"? I have no problem with the topic, but it doesn't leave much room for any sort of discussion.

I enjoy the new content. I let the Devs know that by continuing to subscribe to FFXI. If I didn't like playing FFXI, I would stop paying for it. That's really all it comes down to.
