The next installment in the upgrades for relic equipment are scheduled for introduction this month.

I have a feeling that we're just going to be getting another " Scrap" we just throw Said -1 into a synergy furnace, Then use said " Scrap" w/ our N/HQ to have it augmented... I'm starting to see a trend here.. anyone else!?

Could be.. i wonder if this is the "Relic +2" they were talking about a few weeks ago. Weird how differently they're wording it though. With synergy and synthesis caps rising, i wouldn't doubt these being a craftable upgrade.

I've noticed out of the HQ Vs the NQ, Gets better augments "Sky" gear
Just to name one out of many:

Dalmatica
DEF: 45 "Magic Def. Bonus" +5
Adds "Refresh" effect
Enhances "Resist Paralyze" effect
Converts 50 HP to MP
Lv. 73 WHM / BLM / RDM / BRD / SMN

Augment: Quick Magic +1%

----------------------------------------------------

Dalmatica +1
DEF: 46 "Magic Def. Bonus" +6
Adds "Refresh" effect
Enhances "Resist Paralyze" effect
Converts 55 HP to MP
Lv. 73 WHM / BLM / RDM / BRD / SMN

Augment: Quick Magic +3%

Just naming one possible Augment.

Also a thought, How would this work or effect the NQ Vs HQ Relic gear if they use this system. FYI, I'm just assuming this as a possible augment..

Assassin's Armlets
DEF: 16 HP +7 CHR +5 Enmity +3

"Treasure Hunter" +1
Lv. 75 THF

Augment: Extends "Bully duration+1"

----------------------------------------------------

DEF: 17 HP +26 CHR +5 Enmity +4

Pretty sure those upgrades are what we voted on, and if I remember correctly static augments won the vote.

Oh so its more like trade said Relic N/HQ to Magian Moogle to post Trial; Complete said Trial! I see... also could you point me in the right direction to this static augments vote "we" had, I've looked everywhere... o.o;

Yeah static was pretty conclusive, which I look forward to.

But as recent history shows. Even if 99% of the population votes for something... SE is going to flip you the bird and say "You didn't want that, you wanted this thing you voted against!"

I swear the recent logic of SE is like sending a band of meth heads to your house to rape you and just say "Hey at least you got laid!" as their answer to why they did it....

They already said they would be fixed stat upgrades in the giant thread on this subject about a month ago. We were supposed to have relic gear augments right now but people grabbed the pitchforks and torches and started making noise so they changed their plans. The god gear and abjuration gear augments were hugely unpopular and SE apparently got the message this time.

Can't help to wonder what some of those "Fixed" Augments would be. Do time will tell I guess, Unless we could talk a Dev into giving us something to look forward to.. :)

I grow real tired of your troll stance on sky augs. They have made me 100 million gil. They also have made me jack in the past month because competition caught on quick and wanted a piece of the pie. Enough to the point that I'm about to retire until they go away with their retarded pricing. I make better gil with my thumb up my ass in town right now.

Sure sure, i read that thread. However, I never mentioned random augs in my statement, but who's to say synergy won't be involved? Such as trade X relic with Y item and synth Z (static) result? It's a possibility if they want to continue the synergy upgrade system.

On another note, i was pointing out how in that thread they specifically called it "relic +2" but said something like "upgrade to relic and relic+1" in the roadmap.

Hopefully it is upgrade like this:

Duelist's Chapeau +2

Def: 30 HP+30 MP+30 MND+10 Enfeebling skill +20 Enfeebling magic potency +10% Adds "Refresh II" effect Lv.95 RDM

And not upgrades like this:

Def:27 HP+20 MP+20 MND+5 Enfeebling skill +15 Adds "Refresh" effect Lv. 95 RDM

Another example:

Warrior's Mask +2

Def: 38 STR+10 DEX+10 Attack+15 Double Attack+5% Haste+7% Enhances "Warcry II" effect Lv.95 WAR

Not:

Def: 34 DEX+8 Parrying Skill +10 Enmity+3 Enhances "Warcry" effect Lv.95 WAR

Some kind of example would be nice.

I can't imagine it will be much different from the base stats

I believe they said the Relic +2 gear was going to be a sidegrade vs. Empy +2 gear at best.

So:

Duelist's Chapeau +2
DEF: 30 HP+28 MP+14 MND+6
Enfeebling magic skill +20
Adds "Refresh" effect (2mp/tic)

is probably more likely. Not as good as your proposed one, but still better than the "oh god not this" version.

As far as your WAR example... yeah, we're more likely to see those stats on some kind of hypothetical AF4 (out of The Last Stand?) than anything else, and especially not on relic +2.

IDK, I've completely lost faith in SE for designing gear after the recent VWNM release.

Now with Tanaka back in charge, he's gonna clamp down on anything more powerful then what was available at 75. If we're lucky the dev team will wait till he's out sick to do a release so he can't stop it or force them to tune it down .

You probably made 99 million of that off of one or two stupid rich linkshells. Honestly, look around. there are very few people with sky gear that has any sort of decent augment on it, because no one wants to throw money out the window. Only a few people have that much gil to waste, and they made you rich. Its really not very popular.

It's not popular because being the best you can be at any certain job isn't popular.

There are more useful sky-augs than not

I can't imagine the relic adjustments surpassing +2 empyrean armor sets. Maybe singular pieces may be able to compete for usage... but really, who are they trying appease by adding +2 relic armor? Those that are unable to to get +2 empyrean sets? Most of them that can't be bothered to do that haven't even bothered to +1 relic armor. Then again, most people who did haven't bothered to +1 relic armor if they haven't already before the additional content debuted.

But I think, most of my interest is in how will these relic +2 armor look? Same as the relic armor has been or different color of empyrean armor?

I would really like it if they made some crazy magian trials that allowed you to fuse pieces together (ie. af +1 + relic +1 + empyrean +2 == RAWR!). That will never happen though.

Yeah, he left to go tour with the grateful dead, then he took some time soul searching. He just came back because he blew all his money on Pawtuckett Pat beer, trying to find the Golden Ticket. He also spent some time in cambodia working for the peace corps.

He of course did all this while somehow still keeping up the appearance of going to work at SE every day.
