Could you develop a quest that will provide a avatar warp item to replace the mini forks.
The players that win the level 20 avatar battles are denied a quick warp to the crystals unlike players that had high level friends to get their avatars. This would eliminate the access inequity Perhaps a scenario in which after a set number of battles a player earns the new item. A Magian trial would be nice - the summoner teleport fork that's a main weapon that takes you straight to the crystal once a day.

It would be easier to just invalidate mini forks once you got the avatar. That would eliminate the unfair advantage of a quick warp to a place you might visit once a year and that can be reached and solod effortlessly by any high-level job anyway... Considering it's a type of exploit, albeit a minor one, removing it altogether might be best.

Well when you look at it, the mini-tuning fork warp was not to intended to be an "easy" warp to the cloisters as you choose, yet it's something we SMN take advantage over. For those that complete the mini-trials to gain their avatars, congrats in your effort but are now expected to run to the cloisters as anyone else on any other job will.
Yet if anything, it would be nice to be able to repeat these mini-trials instead of making them on shot. It's a valuable lesson though that I learned when I first started playing that seems to be Summoner 101.... Do NOT complete the mini-trial fights. -

So what you're suggesting would be to mark mini trials as complete upon the successful completion of the uncapped avatar quests?
I mean, I can't see the majority of SMNs agreeing with this. They may find it easier to swallow if maybe you could get an NPC warp to each cloister once per tally. I'm not sure how you'd implement that though. -

There's very few reasons for anyone to keep going back to cloisters.
Avatar acquisition. Evoker's ring quest. Waking the Beast quest.
I guess from the standpoint of helping others leech the wind at low levels to get them, but I'm pretty impartial to that. I had ls friends during my early days as smn who were willing to make that run to each cloister because they didn't want to do it on SMN. (RDM/NIN solo or duo with another LS mate was just as effective back then.) -

I think the mini forks are fine the way they are. It has been posted for over 6yrs - do not complete the mini forks quest, sorry you didn't know, however it's not fair to change it now for others. It took me 2 yrs to get the avatars - waiting to lvl BLM first so I could solo them! So one way or another you have to spend the time - running to battlefield or level another job fist so you can bypass the mini fork quest.

I find it interesting that NA players are so dead set against people getting help. Its not enough that it takes a lot of time to build enough fame to even unlock the ability to do the mini avatar battles or the prime fight. They also costs a lot of gil in items and gear to win the mini avatar battle. You all are assuming that every summoner has another high level job or that they should level one. Many new players get a job to level 30 just so they can unlock summoner for their main. I know that the game is designed so that they can do either battle - that is already understood. I suggest that after doing the mini-fork battle and winning, the player recieves a permeant key item that acts as the mini-fork for that avatar. This way, people doing the harder mini-fork battles are rewarded, not punished for having to attain the avatar this way. Still failing to see how it's considered a punishment for those who've done the level 20 fights and a reward for those haven't. It's simply an unintended loophole in which we use, like NINs leading in the tanking department over PLD. SE is under no obligation to open up warping to in from the cloisters because of this loophole. The logical choice would be for the NPCs to forcefully cancel the quest to use the mini-tuning forks once we already have obtained them to close the loophole, which is no real reason to do that either.
It's a case of being uninformed that's the issue. -

The mini avatar quests were designed to allow a low level summoner to get the avatars without requiring outside help or reaching a high level first. They are failing to serve their intended purpose because nobody wants to give up a teleport to distant areas, thus nobody uses these quests (That and partially because many high level players can easily solo the avatars so it's not that hard to get help) except to get the free teleport. Which is another thing- these teleports dont cost you anything. Most other modes of transport have some kind of cost associated with them.
