and PLD got Phalanx without giving us anything,
Why not give us Enlight and Endark. DRKs don't need anything in return :P

Because those spells are garbage? I'd prefer if they fixed our tier 2s.

Flash would be awesome for RDM.
Fixing the current tier 2 or adding a tier three would be better i feel, but absolutely rdm needs to regain its en-damage lead over other jobs.
If Enfeebling is restructured to RDM's favor, I doubt Addle being given to WHM will matter.
WHM having C-rate Enfeebling will hurt in the long run, regardless of how they gear themselves for it. RDM Has several things that would just help step it up a notch to prevent competition.
However what about WHM/SCH? There are a few people out there who have gotten WHM/SCH down. What kind of enfeebling potential are we looking at with Light Arts? With a few Enfeebling+ equipment.
However, going with the enhancing/enfeebling... If we're masters of these things, then why the hell do they suck so badly?
They need to add a Tier 3 to our En-spells. Not make the current ones better. Perhaps, this is what SE has in store for the new Merit Point System at 99. Who knows.
The real threat from WHM/SCH isn't the B+ Enfeebling because Red Mage gets way better enfeebling skill gear, has been getting better Magic Accuracy and Mind gear selection, and straight buffs to enfeebling via AF3. Red Mage will also has Gravity (and will be getting Gravity 2) which is something that a White Mage can't just sub Scholar for.
I'd be more worried about WHM/SCH boosting Enhancing Magic from C+ to B+, as this matches Red Mage, White Mage gets a fair amount of enhancing magic gear. Of course, Red Mage will still be the king of handing out Haste and Refresh, but White Mages have Boost-Stat spells which may be able to give higher amounts of stats then Red Mage can... but time will tell. It doesn't help that Red Mage's only -aga spell is Diaga, considering.
Red Mages may be mad that White Mage is getting Addle, but remember that a White Mage will never be able to outcast it nor reach the potency you can with it. It doesn't help most White Mages that their skill is gimp, either from being Abyssea burn victims that don't know how to play the job, or having relied on a Red Mage for enfeebling most of their career.

On the subject of enspells 2. How about increasing the secondary nature of the spells, to be MaB for magic spell of the same element. For example, rather tha. Simply lowering resistance, it allowed redmages and opportunity to magic crit a spell of the same element. So swing enthunder 2 on quadavs makes sense...allow thunder to crit. Rather than doing something to earth damage.
Enspell 3 sounds like fun, but I think most people would want a minimum of 50-100 pt damage per swing, easily making RDM over powered. Your talking about an additonal 1k~5k of damage for the cost of 100mp or so...if that.
On the subject of enlighten and endark. I'm in all favor for it...as well as allowing tier 2 of those spells.
No need for Enspell III. I think Enspell II would be more desirable if SE gave it normal enspell damage on additional hits.
