Cirque gear and stat questions.

I just hit 90 on PUP last week and wanted to know if the Cirque gear is our best option? Gearing for my other jobs was pretty basic but I am having trouble finding what stats to focus on for PUP. Your thoughts please.

4/5 Cirque and some haste feet (Aurore, Usukane, Enkidu) is the best DD option for the Master.

^pretty much. The feet aren't really a bad option either, but since you can't quite cap out haste without it and lolpinkfeet are easy to obtain, you'll be better off with that. You'll be less than 2% off the cap with all the other haste available minus the feet, so technically any of the feet haste gives you more than needed to cap and you're not getting the full benefit.

I think i am 1 from cap with full cirque gear, and have chance to do double dmg, so i wouldnt wear haste feet.

If you're using 5/5+2 and Twilight, you're at 24% haste, Which is roughly 1.xx Haste away from cap. If you have teircal neck its only ~.xx% from cap.

Really I don't know. but then the question is you could switch to say, Usukane Feet and use Cirque Necklace, cap haste, and have the Martial arts bonus from neck!

I think the jump form 4/5 and 5/5 is from 3% proc to 5% proc, So its a good +2%.......

I think fashion is important. But the set bonus seems to go off about 5% of the time for double damage, I think that may beat 1 percent haste.
Plus, as I said, fashion counts

Basically its cirque or nothing, with the exception of the feet, there are some better haste options out there.

I would put a fraction of a percent of haste around even with another 1% chance for double damage.

4/5 with haste boots. The slight increase in set bonus proc is not worth the more reliable part of the haste/ martial arts(esp if ur getting more haste then just from gear) that you get all the time. Maybe if you need the acc from the boots or something like that for outside aby maybe?

When you're full +2, Cirque +2 beat a 2% haste feet most of the time, IIRC always unless you have haste, haste samba and double marches on you, or something like that. I did the calcs long time ago using Kinematics spreadsheet, but forgot the exact results. I'll look at them again when I finish my full +2, I'm only at 2/5 plus almost legs done.

id say that, as a PUP, i mostly wear AF. AF1's for healing and pet repair, AF2 for magic attack, and AF3 for stats boost.

Is the magic attack from AF2 worth the effort of doing dynamis? If it is, I know what I will be doing the next few weeks...

If you can have the af 3 +2, you wont need any af 2 (+1) to nuke with your automaton. AF 3+1 feet is kinda the same thing that af 2 (+1) feet for you blm automaton, and you need to have the af 2+1 legs to pwn the af 3+1 for the acc on it, if you only have the AF 2 legs, the af 3+1 is better cause if the acc is the same on both, the af 3+1 can unlock a spell faster (before you got the real skill to get it i mean)

Outside of abyssea, you usually do need the accuracy.

It depends on what frame i'm using tbh... 9/10 times I prefer VF so I use Cirque Body and Legs, for head i use Spurrer's Beret and AF2 hands for pet haste (+8% can't go wrong).
Master:
Head -Spurrers +3%
Body -Cirque+1 +2%
Legs -Cirque+1 +3%
Hands -Pantin +3%
Legs - Koku Sune-Ate +3% (lucky augment :D )
Waste - Twilight +7%
Neck - Cirque - Not honestly sure how the MA effect translates into haste
So 21% all together give or take from neck. I have +1 Cirque head so could push it to 23% maybe.

With your equipment, and assuming Taipan fangs +2 as your weapon (+61 delay so total 401 delay) the -10 delay of Cirque Necklace is roughly equivalent to the -delay it would give you an additional 2% haste. If using Cirque +1 head, Cirque Neck would be roughly equivalent to 3% haste. The -delay gets better the higher your total haste gets, because it's deducted from the reduced delay from haste, and the lower the number you deduct 10 from, the higher the proportional delay you remove.
