Relic Weapons Need A Buff

Currently in FFXI Relic Weapons are way behind Empyrean Weaopns in terms of damage.

The weapon skills on Relic Weapons should have their values changed at least to be competitive with Empyrean weapon skills. Currently they don't even come close Empyrean are 4-5 times higher then their Relic counterpart. Even if you do all the trails get your relic to level 90 Empyreans will still crush them in damage.

Its kind of sad when I have to go out and farm abyssea now to replace my relic weapon that I worked 2 years on, farming gil and farming dynamis. Empyrean takes only a couple weeks now to get.

Who cares, can kill anything in Abyssea with an onion dagger if you wanted to :/

I never use my relic anymore either but it doesnt really bother me, none of us really did them for any reason other than as a status item cause they were never that good. First day I used my relic in Dynamis 4 years ago my heart sank, not like relics were nerfed they were always very minor upgrades.

Also they already said they plan to bring relics and mythics upto par with Emps.

If you did, you'd know that this topic has been beaten to death and has even been addressed by the staff.

They are getting buffed this update to match emp weapons or higher, because SE basically stated Emp are not changing and they are aware of the problem and buffs are forthcoming.

Have you used the search yourself? Go ahead type in relic weapons and see what comes up
1. Get rid of abyssea
2. The official Dark Knight adjustment and suggestion topic.
3. Have elite gear that need have over 100+ days play time.
4. Enspell 2 and Fencer
5. Craft Skill Limitations

Saying use the search function is not a good response because forum search functions do not work well.

So obviously this hasn't been brought up enough. Also I have looked through the dev tracker and not a single post regarding relic weapons or buffs to them.
