Check your statements

Friend of mine just got charged from SE for this month as well as from C&B. Two seperate charges to his account. All those who have already changed over I would take a look at your statements (CC or bank) and make sure you were only charged once for this month.

He has already been refunded one of the charges from his bank but now he is trying to get a hold of SE to get it straightened out so they dont lock his account because of one of the charges being reversed.

This is because SE's old system charged 1-month behind. I.E you Reactivated a Character on the 1st of July and it wouldn't charge you for it UNTILL 1st of august, Where as ClickNbuy charge 1-month in Advance.

so on the 1st of August you were billed by SE for July and CnB for August so 2 payments

**EDIT**: If you cause a Charge-back by requesting the fee's returned with your bank SE bans the account for good (at least its the case with credit-card charge-backs) so be carefull

Pretty sure the charge from C&B is just to clarify something on your bank's part... after that check is done it's taken away. That's what a lot of companies do these days and I'm amazed that people don't know this by now.

errr... that may be true if the OP had said he/she had reactivated in July. This was a friend that appeared to have gotten double billed in the long run. Not enough details to say it happened that way.

The point still stands though....everyone double check your statements. If you have a way to check your account online, go check the recent history. There were reports of additional fees and such being charged by the user's financial institutions because of how the transactions were coming in. IDK if SE passed these issues through their liason with C&B and got it remedied or what not, so double check so you can try to get it corrected (either w/ your bank or C&B directly).

Nah the friend wasn't restarting the game has been back and playing for over a year now. Also never knew any company who charged you for the month AFTER you used a product. A charge in Aug should cover Aug, not a charge in Aug would cover what you did July o.O. So dont know why SE would charge you a month after use instead of a month ahead looking at it that way.

Also a charge of 1$ is the normal checking charge to validate your account. Not 12.95+mules which is what he was charged.

I was charged $10.00 and $5.00 accordingly by C&B. There was additional charge of like $1.90 pending to my account but it never went through.

I, personally, never had any problems.

And I recall similar issues with POL. But honestly. the "my friend" doesn't hold much water. This includes when i say my b/f. That can be just made up plus 99% of what ppl say on the internet is a lie. More so if it is a trend to do something. Take example of the C&B thing. The popular thing is to hate it, if you don't you get insulted.

Pretty much it's a list of people having issues with account closings due to C&B.

Lost trust takes a while to rebuild...and when we have new cases of more screwups happening here, it doesn't really help their reputation.

I haven't been charged anything at all and I'm starting to worry.
