Remove the 5 minute timer on the kindred seals drop

I was actually thinking of a seal exchange rate but I didn't think it would be possible to balance it enuogh to make it work, or it would just influence people to farm KC HKC just cause they can turn it into lower seals.

if it went from Beastmen, Kindred seal, KC, HCK I would think a balance exchange would be:
BS:5=>1 KS
KS 4=>1 KC
KC 3=>1 HKC

Then on the reverse if you wanted to downgrade them for the sake of an attempt at "balance" I would think possibly
HKC:6=>1 KC
KC::8=>1 KS
KS::10=>1 BS

Basically it would encourage people to still farm for the Beastmen seals and Kindred since they hold a better exchange rate rather then just farm the crest and high kindred crest and exchanging them for Kindred seals. But ya I"m just throwing it out there hopefully it does help in figuring out a way to properly balance a concept to exchange Burning circle seals.

Is there actually a five minute timer on Kindred Seal drops? I don't think there is.

^ while this is technically a debunk of the 'one seal per party rule' it also implies that since the treasure pool takes 5 mins to sort you would nvr have more then 1 no matter how many mobs you killed in rapid succession. Also i took this pic with my digital camera because no matter how hard i try i can't get them off my system

How to really solve the problem.

Don't do seal exchange.
Raise the cap to enter Abyssea to Lv70 or 75.
Lower the drop rate of seals to 1 per minute.
Improve the drop rates for all Kings HQ items.


Problem solved, doesn't gimp old content completely and seals will be easier to get.

so you just say that we should give everybody 2-3 HQ pop of each kind as long as they XP ONE job 30-75 outside of aby?

because lvling 30-75 give you lot of KS?
30-42~ doesnt give you any KS
lot of 42-53(? whenever people start wajoam colibris) will sync on ERonf(s) colibries (no KS)
XP PT is ineficient for KS farming : max 12 seals (B or K) per H split into 6 people= <2S/h each
lvl 53-75 is around 541k, assuming 25k xp/h average(weakpt with new XP rates +fov book) that 22h of xp <=44S each
so forcing people to lvl one job to 75 outside aby will give (perfect condition )half an orb to each player (and since you don't only get kindred and they dont always drop on 5min mark you'll get a lot less)

on trade rate i'd think an asymetric (?) system (you always give more than you get)

I think you missed the part about me saying to lower the drop timer for seals to 1min as well.

no, i quoted that part and said it would be like giving people 2nid, 2KB and 2aspi pops for each job they lvl outside aby (should have changed quote order)

And that doesnt change the fact that xp pt provide less KS than solo farming.

Yes, there is. Unless you are in an alliance, you will absolutely never see more than one seal in treasure at once. This is why smn burn parties, which kill upwards of 100+ mobs always get exactly one seal (unless they take >5 mins).

It is one seal per 5 minutes per party though. So if you have a three party alliance, you can get 3 seals in 5 minutes.

I don't understand the problem. You don't want to wait 5 minutes for things in the treasure pool to drop? Don't they drop automatically once the treasure pool gets too full? How would waiting less than 5 minutes help anyone?

Either it was shopped (why would they take a picture of a monitor like that? Only reason i can think of, is they have the one keyboard in existence without a print screen button, or they want to make it easier to shop), or they had 3 parties get 3 crests, then one party left the alliance, replaced with a new one, which got a fourth seal.
