i think the ring (either) should have hidden effects thats triggered for each avatar.
Titan -20% dmg
garuda +20% acc
ifrit +20% attack
ramuh +20% magic acc
shiva +20% magic att
leviathan imune to status ailments
carby +50% to healing ruby I & II
diablos en-drian
fenrir regen/regain depending on moon phase.
Just something to make each avatar really stand out from eachother.
They said they didn't wanna give Avatars buffs like that related to their element in the questionnaire thing, Because they wanted "Avatars to be chosen because of their Element", and they fear with something like that some avatars would become more preferred.
Though its not to say i would be against the idea, they might though :(
Just wanted to say I really liked the OP's idea. This was really awesome and well thought out. Hope to see this happen in a future update. It would be really nice if they gave it a storyline with a more sinister twist. Anyway great job with the idea Karb!

I know its old, But with the advent of the level 99 Cap, I feel this idea is more possible than ever... Considering all the Other gear hanging around, and how Relic got +2 Upgrades + Augments.

I want to believe... but seriously it's about time we got a second ring that's half decent. Or that increases our damage.
I really like this idea. The work would be challenging and the rewards should definitely reflect the challenge. I'd like to see one of the augments be a flat Blood Pact: Rage damage+, rather than magic att+/normal att+. I'd also be interested in seeing some sort of Favor boost that wasn't directly related to the summoning magic skill+ increase (a hidden effect like was suggested).
Even more interesting would be if the SMN had to solo all of the fights to prove their worth.
