you have to add from 1 to whatever # the level currently is at. The formula for this is SUM = (1+x)(x/2), where x is whatever level it currently is at. For instance, if you have level 10 in a category, it is (1+10)(10/2) = (11) (5) = 55.

Hello, everyone!
I’d like to answer what questions I can at the moment in regards to the new gift system.
This is exactly right. At level 10 it would count as 55 job points, so you are earning the total amount of what you put in.
For jobs that do not utilize magic, the magic accuracy bonus was set to increase the accuracy of elemental weapon skills as well as the activation rate of additional effects of weapon skills and weapons.
We’ll be adding more to this system in the future which will take the effects even higher. Additionally, the team is looking into gifts that will unlock abilities and magic spells.
The concept behind gifts is to simply enhance your jobs and make it a bit easier to get through content with your new powers. The plan is to gradually make earning capacity points easier, and we will be adding capacity point bonuses to various content in the future. We’d like to make it so that by going out and doing different types of content you will naturally earn a good amount of capacity points.
It will be item level 119 equipment that can be made by synthesis, but in exchange for being able to buy and trade this on the auction house or through players’ bazaars, we’ve set “Superior” as a special requirement for equipping these items.
In the December version update we will be introducing armor with “Superior 1”, which will be item level 119 equipment that is comparatively easy to make. We’re introducing this equipment to expand the choices of item level 119 gear.
so, for clarification. The crafted Su1 gear would be comparable to 119 gear that is acquired through non-synthesized means?
I was really worried about this addition because I though it was going to leave some of my jobs I don't get to play much screwed since I wont be getting 50 JP on them anytime soon. If I can still get comparable gear without Superior gear then this doesn't seem so bad I can just get Su1 gear on my jobs that I play more.
Would Ninja obtain new elemental tier ninjutsu via gifts in the future?

Someone should update the wiki then. I still have more questions though, like are there associated stats for additional effect magic accuracy, and if so what are they?
