SE does not ban you based on screenshots, although it is enough to start an investigation if warranted.
However, given that it's a cosmetic change to a personal area that only affects the player itself, and has no effect on the gameplay (for that player or others), they will do nothing. At worst, they remove the image from the thread. Just don't discuss methods of .dat swapping or whatever else was used and there should be no problems.

I'm well aware of all of that. :) I was merely explaining to him that it is breaking the contract, hence why Square Enix takes action. Pictures can always be excused with photoshop.

Well since we have a rep in here, what IS the official stance on moghouse dat swaps?

Obviously it shouldn't be allowed in the contest since not everyone can do it, but is it "against the rules" as far as game play go? We've seen everyone elses opinion, but it would be interesting to see what the reps think (which is whatever SE tells them to think when it comes to game rules, I'd imagine).

Its a trick, basically because of the boxes lined up near the fountain if you walk behind them and move a certain way it pops you up. You walk at a certain level probably 1~2 feet in the air, I don't actually sit on my bed, rather I float right~ above it ^_^;

Is this going to be a full mog house contest, or pieces of one? Last time their was a MH contest i thought they were full houses, so thats what i submitted. Then came to see some winning selecting just being a decorated table or something.

Set your background resolution to x2 of your overlay. Bam! Good graphics.

Edit: FFXI config still doesn't support the ability to do that unless you play at a very low res, so you'll have to either do it through reg edits (http://wiki.bluegartr.com/bg/Graphics) or by using that "thing that is the devil and destroys FFXI by enhancing your game experience while causing no harm to others".

I think I just need a desk and a bigger stove for my mog house and I think I'd be pretty happy with it. I don't like the feeling of lots of clutter in my mog house.

I actually really like yours. I love the dark atmosphere, almost as if you dimmed the lights in your MH, then added a bunch of Furniture that light up.

FFXICalc is apparently the devil. ;)

FFXICalc can do the registry changes for you (while FFXI isn't running of course) so you don't have to muck around with the registry yourself to change the game resolution. If FFXICalc, which is a separate program that doesn't modify or overlay the official game client in any way, shape, or form is considered against the ToS, I think I quit.

As far as I know, you can set background res to 2048x2048 with the regular FF11 config tool now. I saw the option in there last time I changed things anyway.

It's called "Galley Kitchen", I have one also. Made with synergy, semi-tough to pull off, need a few people with high level synergy and the appropriate crafts to make it.

It also dispenses random food once every conquest tally ^^

We dropped a hint previously that we were working on a Mog House decoration contest. While the official announcement is not quite yet, I figured I would let you all know ahead of time what we have planned, so you can start getting your houses in order.

The theme for this contest is "staying cool in the summer heat."

We’ll be asking you all to decorate your Mog Houses following the theme, taking screenshots, and posting them up on the forum in the contest thread. We’ll be requiring that one or more of the below furnishings be used, as they represent wind and water (summer time cool!).
