Don't forget that the conversion isn't something you do in an instant at an NPC. You have to buy items with cruor, then NPC them for gil. I converted 1 million cruor to gil a few days ago, and it must've taken be a good 2 hours to buy the chocoblinkers until my inventory was full, warp to Jeuno to sell, then warp back to refill and repeat until I was done. And that was one guy and only 1 million cruor.

Most New gear HQ land is at a min 5-10 mil starting and most new spells Pre VW Spamming were 2-3 mil some as much as 5-6 in first few days. As far as Dyna goes can easily make 200-400 Singles in a day and on solo as dnc, but if u have say 3 accnts and do this then you can easily make a relic solo within 3 months farming Dyna Doing VW and Cruror conversion with NPC'd gear. Now If you are smart and do Salvage every single day as well lets see 15,000 gil per 1 Alex, and can get 60-150 alex per day (DD/Thf/Healer) trio you can have max gil very fast in this game but so many ppl are lazy and still working on there af3+1 seals. Happy Gil hunting Do not cheat and buy gil when you can cheat and sell Gil to RMT and make real Money ...

RMT will always exist to some degree, but for the forseeable future, it's been mostly killed. RMT PWNER v 1.337 has won.

This. I know him, he has been working his butt off for those relics (and still is). Why he's chosen to do it that way I really don't know, multi-boxing like that would make my head explode.

Scroll of Comet back in October, and I think the Ocomeleh harness goes for several million, but none of that is relevant. What is relevant is the fact that gil selling services exist therefore RMT exist.

RMT activity is still in full swing. At least on Fenrir it is. These RMT groups never leave abyssea and pull mobs 24/7. The RMT found a legit way of making gil and its easy and simple to do. I have seen many RMT groups in Abyssea zones cruor farming and continually shout in Port Jeuno. They do things 2 ways, they have 18 accounts in an ally (1 pullers to cleave and 1 healer, rest Taru mules). Or they have 24/7 shouts in Port Jeuno where half the ally is RMT and the other half players pay for exp.

Gil for emps, what? lol But no, this game isn't boring because of what I do/have done, it's boring because all of my friends quit. I don't think many people would be playing this game more than casually if they weren't playing with friends.

Because killing mobs for 10 hours a day is fun. Not to mention you're implying that anyone can just make an army of mules and get more than 100k Cruor/hr as well as just do it all day(Nobody has a real life or a job). You also can't solo 100k cruor/hr so even if you were getting 47m for 10 hours, you're splitting it with someone else or maybe 2 or 3 people. Those numbers quickly become lower and lower when you realize more things about the whole process. Oh, did I mention that spending days to convert cruor is fun too?

How do you know they're RMT, if they're engaging in a legit activity that many legit players engage in on a regular basis?

Most people ch arging for cleave/whisker EXP are not RMT, they just have an easy cash cow.

You didn't describe the players. But I haven't seen anything like this in a long time. ALmost every time I see someone offering this, They and the people with them look like normal players to me, no similar names with one letter difference, no gibberish names, no naked players. I haven't seen anything like that.

I've seen a group of 3 BLMs, a BRD, and a COR along with a puller once in abyssea. The puller would bring a mob within range of the BLMs and they would all cast at the entire time killing the mob. The BRD and COR would also buff the BLMs by themselves. Sounds pretty simple if some windower script could actually do all that. The only one who would actually have to work is the puller.

With just my mule I can make ~75k/hour cruor per character, but it is boring as hell. Additionally, there is no promise I can find a suitable camp to just farm cruor at since there is a large quantity of people doing cleave parties (sometimes on one of the mobs I'm swapping between) meaning that is an ideal number if given ideal circumstance. Just with the two characters though I find most of that is going tward atmacite upgrades and other VWNM (when i actually have time to play that is). Depending on luck, I could make exponentially more gil doing VWNM than I would (or anyone would) doing cruor burns all day long while still getting a chance to gain something I want at the same time.

For there to be inflation, there has to be things people want to buy.
The only reason people nowadays would purchase gil would be to complete a Relic or a Mythic. Very few trophy pieces even exist anymore that can be purchased; Kraken Club and uhhhh, that new Double Attack belt?

With all the R/E shit out now, gil is kinda meh. At least how I play :o

Inflation is a macro economics term that refers to a relative increase in total currency (in use) versus total actual goods/services. The relative or actual desirability of goods in general or any individual good or service has nothing to do with global inflation rates as long as currency is still being used and goods / services are still being consumed.

It's actually not entirely wrong. Gil that is out of circulation is effectively not taking part in the economy. Players A, B, and C who keep max gil on their mules are actually increasing the value of gil because there is effectively less gil in circulation when they hoard it than if they spent it all on relics/mythics/empyreans and put it back into the hands of farmers.

I see no problem with converting cruor into gil. It's a game. I don't care if people want to spend time farming cruor then spend time converting it into gil. It's not as if there's a "create gil" button they're pressing.

If someone wants to spend a bunch of time killing mobs, amassing tons of cruor, then spending a bunch of time converting it to blinkers (or gear for even less) and npc'ing it for gil by all means go ahead. It isn't hurting anyone now is it? It's alot less exploitative than using the oldskool bots to screw over people for big ticket items. The cruor/items/npc are there for a reason. I don't think the ToS states what you have to spend stuff on. Would you be crying if someone spent hours upon hours farming some random item just to npc? It's the same damn thing. Spamming items for gil. I've converted a bunch of cruor i didn't feel i needed for gil and if i had more characters i would have done even more. It's a pretty easy way to make money while i do my usual stuff, saves the the hassle of making gil some boring ass way.

The whole RMT thing is getting a little long in the tooth. They've been pretty much swept off to the corner to cater to a very small group and as far as i've seen, aren't disruptive anymore, at least no more than a single group doing anything will disrupt you (a single bst in dynamis fighting beside you can make you groan). Back in the day they were all over the place camping everything worth a damn causing a ruckus. Now they hang out in altepa fell-cleaving for gil and hanging out in dynamis? Where else is the infestation? Their influence has diminished down to %^&* all imho.

All I can see is OP crying about not having lots of gil.

RMT (and poor players supplementing their irl income with RMT) will basically bloat on these means of making gil, they will put themselves out of business because gil is so easy to make now they will have more than they can possibly sell and they will be making gil for no reason.

Very few people care the way they used to about RMT, they don't really hurt anyone and the economy is hilarious now anyway so who cares.
