Blatant early failure points for new players.

You can level just fine, and you move past the early zones pretty quickly.

All games have the exact same problem, it's also rampant on ff14 and they phase under the ground to not be so visible.

No one plays on asura by choice. If you want to be able to buy/sell things, you must play on asura. It's not an option.

Paying money to server transfer to buy gear is not a valid response.

I leveled a character from scratch up to 99 and Bastok rank 6 some time last year on Bahamut. I didn't have trouble with any of the bottlenecks you mention.

The three mage gate you can frequently find help by /yell, or you can ask your linkshell for it. People are pretty eager to help because there are always a lot of bored people waiting for something to do.

The thing is, they changed the gates in eldieme and garliage and also allowed players to click a ??? for level 50 cap items.

By doing this they are admitting there is a problem, and so leaving these others makes no sense.

Nearly everyone plays on Asura by choice. People buy and sell things all the time on all servers, you don't have to play on Asura to do that. Such a statement can only come from someone who doesn't maintain characters on other servers. The only people who aren't there by choice are the people who created characters at the beginning of the game when you couldn't choose your server.
