I know right... There seems to be a surge in new players at the moment too, so those coming back are gonna be pushed away by the fact they can't get their characters back. Makes me sad, cause (whilst we don't really need more people) it can never hurt.

Damn, want to try out the game again. I definitely don't want to start an new character so i'm hoping this gets resolved soon so that i know whether or not i can even get my char back....

I too have been waiting to reactivate my Char since March, i tried starting over but getting a party after level 30 is impossible so any news on when the reactivation service will be back up would be much appreciated :)

Most likely gonna be awhile yet, and getting it back up isn't much of a priority for them I guess.

Really wish they would get this service back up and running soon. School's out and I'm really wanting to play, even got some friends interested in playing as well. The service being disabled since March is a bit careless I'd say. I hope that fixing this thing is a priority for them, as it should be. They could at least give us an estimated time of repair, that way I can decide between waiting it out or just starting from scratch...

I'm guessing, it isn't looked at as a priority, because moving currently active characters was during the maintence occuring as the world merge happened. Those that are inactive aren't a huge priority, because I mean,

The last time I played FFXI was August of 2009. I came back last thursday, had no problem starting my old character up

I would assume this is more if u deleted ur character thinking ud never come back, then dun dun dun!!!! we got the itch again and dont want to to start over :D

Why would you delete your character? I wasn't planning to come back either, but I still didn't delete my character, doesn't cost you anything for it to just sit there, not deleted.
