Crafting changes

From what I've gathered, most KIs are junk - in that they allow recipes to yield 2-4x the normal synth, but also require the same boost to required supplies?

What's the point? The time saved does not make up for time farmed/gil spent.

You save on crystals but are required to buy specific items from a NPC to add to the recipe.

Major loss.

Just looking at the expected results (E) for a T3 rank woodworker:

Boltmaker + Ring : E = (3*100%)*96% = 2.88 : x33 ~ 95 bolts
Regular : E = 3*(1*50% + 2*(50%*75%) + 3*(50%*25%))*95%*95%*95% = 4.18 : x33 ~ 138 bolts

Even if you eat Kitron Macaron while crafting the boltmaker recipes (to reduce fails even further), you never get anywhere close to the normal HQ-enabled synth (Can't exceed 100% success)
