Last count I had which was just month ago FFXI had just under 600k player base and thats not counting people with double accounts and as far as I can tell MSG is just under 200k so don't no where tour getting numbers from but there either exaggerated or just wrong. My numbers could be off too but I'm sure not by that much.
NO very accuracte Chii ill def put that to point cause
1. if MGS was that big They would blow MW1/2 out of the water in sales n they dont
2. MGS is jus a small little thing but hey he wants to prove his ego so jus let him its fun watchin noobs he's prolly a lvl 7 war who cant beat a orc
dude i know im not listenin to what this nubcakes has to say cause he's absolutely wrong with everything he is saying MGS story line mad the game of the year not the online play.... right now Modern warfare 1/2 has more then anyone on them even FFXI but hey im not gonna argue with someone when i own all 4 games MW 1/2 MGS and FFXI
That's not exact in the slightest. This number only includes people who have used the Auction House in the past 30 days. Going by FFXIAH, half my Linkshell are inactive - when they certainly aren't.
Less using unofficial data to try state something authorative. It's just not working for you.
Hmm ....The Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station is a nuclear power plant located in Wintersburg, Arizona,[1] about 45 miles (80 km) west of central Phoenix. It is the largest nuclear generation facility in the United States, averaging over 3.2 gigawatts (GW) of electrical power production in 2003[2] to serve approximately 4 million people. Arizona Public Service (APS) owns 29.1% of the station and operates the facility. Other owners include Salt River Project (17.5%), El Paso Electric Co. (15.8%), Southern California Edison (15.8%), PNM Resources (10.2%), Southern California Public Power Authority (5.9%), and the Los Angeles Dept. of Water & Power (5.7%).[3]
Located in the Arizona desert, Palo Verde is the only nuclear generating facility in the world that is not situated adjacent to a large body of above-ground water. The facility evaporates water from the treated sewage of several nearby municipalities to meet its cooling needs.
well ladies gents and Nub ::::COUGH:::: night
love to stay n chat but gotta head to work ill come check out how bad yall burned Night with ur number tonight
I stand corrected. There are always exceptions to the norm.
But you have to admit, that is still a small portion of the whole (more than 400 worldwide). It is a fact they all have to access to reasonable amount of coolant medium, which in most all cases is near a large body of water, or at least with reasonable access too it. The bigger point of that portion of that debate (and that post) was about the site they choose for Japan. Take a GOOOOOD look at Japan. Not just the fact it is in the middle of a gigantic body of water, but look at it's landforms, it's population and urban development over the years. They probably didn't have many options.
The Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station ...must stink like sh-
so any actual updates, or just guesses

Solutions are not the answer.
and about the MGS Online vs FFXI banter, just looked them up out of curiosity:

Granted, the articles are a bit dated, but there are some hard figures that prove a point that FFXI is likely a larger scled operation. MGSO had 1.3m subscribers in 2009. FFXI broke 2m in 2008. The article further states that FFXI has 32 gameworlds that can house 15k-20k users each. Granted, we only have the 24 gameworlds and the one test server--but if it's capable of supporting even just 15k per world, then we could theoritically go to over 7million users. Somehow I don't see MGSO reaching that level with just the PS3 platform support, so I SERIOUSLY doubt they have the infrastructure in place to support it.
Again, no confirmed hard numbers, purely speculation based on numbers that are supplied from another source (but, the 2008 number is confirmed by SE's own count). But...I think any reasonable person could draw the conclusion that SE's operation is just a weeeee bit bigger than Konami's. Especially if you throw in FFXIV and the Taito Corp. that is in the same building as well.
Thanks Raist,
I was going to pull the wiki up as well. All i was trying to say id that because he plays the game & says they only have 2 servers in BS. No way 1+ million players on 2 servers. We have this confirmed by CoD MW2 when their servers crashed cause of this.
I do know that FFXI using more resources but if you even look at MGS website they state the shutdown to save power. (but decided 2 days was long enough to conserve?weird) the only thing I am/have been trying to get into his incredibly thick skull is that I stated my opinion, without blasting him in any form. He is a better person cause he is able flam someone for expressing their opinion. WOW he is going to go very far in his life. If he has such a hard time accepting the fact not everyone thinks like him then he is in for a rude awakening when he is jobless, homeless, wifeless & living in his parents basement playing FFXI and being an elitist.
But again I will never say anything to disrespect a person for his/her opinion. Just do not expect me to get attacked and sit here.
im calling in the debt you guys owe me... you may pay in gil, fish or kudos.
