Just to make sure this problem is seen to sooner rather than later, I'm posting here as well to remind that the settings in the competition currently don't allow beyond 1000 characters, even though the rules states we can submit up to 500 words. Posting my story when the cap is raised (FORUM EXPANSION PACK STYLE 8D)

Thanks for the note, you are of course right - we have now raised the character limit to 5000 characters, which should be a better fit for the outstanding creativity in this community We're looking forward to some really goosebump-inducing pieces here!

Oh is the character limit increase permanent?, as it sucks atm having to edit your posts just so you can write more.

Can I just say it's a bit...weird to call it a 'spooky story contest' when entries are going to be

based on overall creativity and humour

I get it's Halloween, and the whole joke is it's 'spoooky', but even that feels a little overdone. But it seems nearly EVERY writing competition is on humor. Seems a little stacked in comedian's favors.

I digress, it's not a big deal. Just wanted to voice my opinion really quick.
