Words hold to us power - the greatest of all,
Now lost in a pall of dull, impotent squall.
For this very reason, my statements are terse;
Each sentence an essay condensed into verse,
That I may be rid of indolence; this curse
Which binds us to habits, our cruel vices' thrall.

Yet here I now stand - with loss of restraint
To drivel and prattle, to scribble and paint
The voice of my being; my innermost essence
Committed to page in soft acquiescence
Of parchment preserved, for sake of adherence
To structure and form found mere cutesy or quaint.

Now why, must you think, is she writing this so?
The Warrior of Light should not bring herself low!
That simple humility; modesty; grace
To all that abound in thy heartening space,
The scholars, marauders and any you face;
Unspoken's the glory deserved in thy tow.

For who stood beside me when Lily we found,
And knew what to whistle, that heavenly sound
I'll never forget, and journeyed not just
As an acolyte axeman; eager and robust,
But too as a friend, who my life I'd entrust
Come hells or high water on harsh battleground?

And so to the crux, lest my intent astray
With twelve as my witness; my patron Halone,
Grant strength to propose, my consciousness clean,
With missive in hand, an embarrassing scene,
Should Tolga's training allow it, marine,
Would you spare for me this Valentione's Day?

I know that we have not often seen eye to eye, however I would like you to know that you have served as an inspiration to me. While I could not understand your intent back when you first tested me in Vesper Bay, now it is different. Some time ago, when I encountered Midgardsomr and the blessing of light was shattered from me, a fog began to lift from my mind. While I once more rebuilt the blessing, the fog remains gone and I have had time to think clearly on some things. Ever since the incident with the Warriors of Darkness, my perception of things has shifted some, call it a changing point. They were my antithesis, true, but they were not inherently evil and were trying to save their world. Was that your intent on bringing them here? I must say your methods are quite unorthodox, but I believe I am starting to understand. You’ve been trying to have me see reality for what it is instead of what Hydaelyn wants me to believe. You have never given up on me, and I appreciate that. This has turned into quite the lengthy letter, so I will digress. If you ever find yourself in the vicinity of Shirogane, you can find me at my arms shop in the 6th ward, location 15 and we can share coffee and words and perhaps the chance to learn of one another better.
