even if crafting was more fun it would have to be repetitive like everything else in an MMO so the people botting now would probably still bot. Plus a lot of people bot for gil so that incentive would still be there.

Mass banning botters on the other hand would create a risk that many people would not take, so less people would bot in fear of losing their account.
