In Turn 2 of coil, 1 path gives piercing resistance to the boss, the other path gives constant aoe dmg around the boss which would need to be healed so melee's are generally not used. You would not go drg.

The group already has 2 healers, a whm and sch, you cannot go.

Otherwise, I and many other endgame groups will not accept you. Which means, you need three level 50s for endgame. Not one.

Any group that would expect me to level my subclasses past the point where I gain worthwhile cross skills from it, thus wasting time that I could have spent playing on and perfecting my gameplay on my primary class, in order to become "ready" for endgame is dumb as crap and I certainly hope they do turn me down, because it will safe me the grief and aggravation of dealing with their noobishness mid run.

Our fc has a drg and a mnk and they make it to turn 4....
It might not be optimal, but that doesn't mean it's not possible.

When did people playing MMO's forget how to progress (lots and lots of wipes). Now days people start kicking and blaming everyone on like the 2nd wipe... I remember wiping 100's of times in past games with the same group of people until we new each other's fantasies and personal feelings and we downed it.

I remember the days when a group would wipe and I'd make comments to our tank about his being bad at the game. Telling him he can't tank. The tank would say it was my fail healing that caused the wipe. Then we'd agree it was the fault of the dps/dd. We'd all joke about it because we knew it was just a bit of fun.

Now when a group wipes... the same things are said. But by rage filled elitists who want the perfect/smoothest/fastest run ever in the history of any game. And it's always everyone else's fault when that doesn't happen. Normally followed by a rage quit.

Look, if you have exceedingly specific and demanding standards for those who are in your Free Company, that's great.

If you shout, looking for specific items/gear, that's also great.

If someone responds with that gear, but doesn't have their sub-classes leveled, you have a few options:
- Tell them NO
- Tell them YES, contingent upon their initial performance.
- Tell them NO, then tell them why and gently suggest that they level thieir sub-classes and what specific skills they should add
- Amend your shout to include the sub-class requirement.
- Only go with your Free Company mates.

How you choose to play is your own business, and while I may laugh myself hysterical at your choices, they're still your choices.

One important thing I've learned in life is this: You either want help doing something, OR you want it done a specific way. If you want help, you take the help however it comes and be grateful or at least civil about it. If you want it done a specific way, well then, you either do it yourself or nicely teach someone who is willing to learn how you would like that help.
