Attention: One Level 50 Doesn't Mean You're at Endgame. Sorry!

One of my biggest annoyances when building an Endgame Party is how unprepared most players are for the more difficult content. I get so sad when I post a shout which looks for certain criteria, which is Darklight, Relic, and various others elements and still people respond to my shout who 'think' just because they have the gear they are prepared.

This game isn't about the gear you know. You can have all the best gear in the world, but if you cannot play your class -- you will not be welcome in the true endgame. If you think "Farming AK and CM over and over" is endgame, you're sadly mistaken!

Like it or not, this current Endgame is and is only two things: Primals & Coil. Not much, but there is enough to do there to keep a high tier party occupied. I run a Primal Farming LS and Coil LS -- and I admit my tests for entry are pretty damn harsh. I really have to filter out a lot of people who think they are prepared. After so many times of repeating myself, I decided to at least create this thread.

Great, you've leveled one job to 50. Do you realize that job has Support Classes attached to it? Do you realize that as a White Mage you have access to other abilities you've yet unlocked like Fast Cast for example?

Please, take time to level BOTH of your Support Roles to 50. Otherwise, I and many other endgame groups will not accept you. Which means, you need three level 50s for endgame. Not one.

Leveling up other classes to get the extra abilities that cross over takes like...2 days of fate grinding. Far as I know for WHM, you only need to get ACN to 34 and THM to 24 to get what you need so one does not need to cap those out; correct me if I am wrong.

Personally, I am not an 'alt' person. I find a role I like and stick with it for years on end usually.

Exactly, which is why I find it so hard to believe people don't even take the time to do such a simple thing... But I don't like them doing it via Fate Grinding I admit. This is why I also throw them at Titan and test their performance based on many of those in Linkshell whom I know can perform their roles flawlessly. So many people with gear and levels just can't handle even basic stuff. I get so sad to see how so many people fail to handle a fight as simple as Titan.

Huh? Why three? Does getting them to 50 do anything for you? Or is it an excuse to ask for a player with more versatility. If you get that support class to 50, are they expected to raise the support classes class to 50?

And besides, gear is not enough for endgame but saddly it's necessary, so it's mainly about the gear.

And thankfully, no support needs to be leveled to 50. The higher cross-class I saw was Mantra from PGL42 (Don't have time to check THM or ACN), and it's not that useful when you can only choose 5 skills. Since it's very long to level multiple classes, finishing roughly at 35 is a real blessing

You need the Gear for Coil. But just having the gear doesn't mean you're ready for Coil.

No you don't. You're example "Fast Cast" which I assume you meant Swift Cast, is a level 26 Thm ability. That does not require level 50 Thm. Please use a better example if you are going to make such a ridiculous statement. I'd also like to know just what Arcanist abilities make such a huge difference in a Whm's repertoire that they need to be level 50 for?. And I'm a lvl 50 Summoner, by the way. I have leveled my Archer and Thm to the point where I have, from what I can see, the more useful abilities to my Job. Raging Strikes, Thunder, and Swift Cast. Surecast has yet to prove all that useful so I've taken it off my bars completely. And while I could possibly see Quelling Strikes as an okay thing to have, it's still extremely situational and in the end, not very useful for anyone other than Archer/Bard. The same can be said about Hawk's Eye, except it doesn't even help a spell caster at all, so rather pointless altogether since we do not use dex much (at all) and do not do physical damage. As a Summoner, there is no point to leveling my "sub jobs" to 50. Thm only needs to reach 26, and Archer only needs to be level 4.

Perhaps there are other jobs that gain access to more useful abilities, but from what I've seen none of those are from level 50.
