Bots need to be dealt with

So its no surprise that there are bots in Arr. I understand that it's a new game and its in the process of updates etc, but the bots are out of control. I don't know how it is on other servers but the prices for shards are stable but the amount is ludicrous. I refuse to believe that 15+ player's are able to mine 1-2k of each shard per day. These players who are cheating need to be dealt with because it' impossible to buy shards for new

I agree. Bots either in gathering or RMT ones selling Gil is really annoying.

They do it to all the base materials. Shards, ore, cotton/flax, lumber, even seen some set up to farm aldgoats, diremites, gigantoads and boars. I outright refuse to purchase base materials from other players anymore simply because I don't want to feed the RMT market, which kinda sucks for the legit players given the volume of production I do.

Absolutely dispise it. I often get the feeling I'm the only real player doing mining, and when I do mine, I feel I constantly have to make it clear to everybody passing by that I'm not a bot - because let's face it, during off hours at least, the vast majority of gatherers are. The teleporting ones are pretty obvious, but there's also ones that run along paths now with added jumps to make them seem "real". Apart from feeling guilty of something I'm not doing, it also makes mining feel really stupid. Why am I doing this when these 10 guys are asleep and get the same minerals I am?

I think they have a special taskforce for it, I think I saw an admin say they were working on it & that we should continue reporting people who use the bots

Every time I visit a level 5 or level 10 node for either mining or botany there is always at least one bot there, sometimes up to 5. It's not even just the gil sellers, some are in free companies with 30+ members.

You know sometimes it is difficult to tell the difference between a bot and a real person. When I am mining or harvesting I usually talk to no one. I usually have music blaring and never even look at the chat log. Last weekend I farmed 6000 shards while watching college football. I cannot image doing those boring grinds without something else occupying my attention. I just have to look down and hit the num pad a few times and move to the next node. Now some of the bots are obvious when they are running the same spot for days at a time. I can tell the same person stood in the same spot for almost 72hrs farming fleece nonstop. I only know it was a bot because I was out there Fate farming and then overnight another LS mate was there. I got up the following morning and dude was still there farming. Some people have a much higher tolerance for boredom than others though which has to be taken into account. In 8hrs you can easily farm several thousand shards.

There are plenty of the obvious hackers who are teleporting but I'm watching 2 players right now running the exact same path over and over, with an odd change in direction that a normal player would not being making. This was the first time I bothered to look so who knows how many are out there.
