Going AFK in Castrum Meridianum

People that queue up in duty finder for this dungeon and then go AFK leeching tomestones really make me mad. Either the group ends up disbanding or we struggle on without that tank/healer/dps. It is a very selfish thing to do, and it just wastes everyones time. Why should they be rewarded for it?

Square Enix, you must do something about these AFKers leeching. It's driving people crazy. How about they get -100 tomestones for every time they do this.

Can you really blame them though? CM is the most boring and terrible endgame grind I have ever done in any MMO. A better solution would be actually making endgame interesting.

they aren't the only people who are tired of farming these dungeons for tomestones, yet other people still pull their weight in these groups instead of being a burden

Wouldn't stop it from happening, SE needs to stop it through a vote to kick or a contribution reward (you don't get rewards for bosses unless you are inside the boss area at the killing blow).

A vote to kick function is something people talk about in game often. It would solve the AFK problem, but my concern is that it could be used to kick someone from a group, if lets say you are competing against their friend for loot. Or you could find yourself getting kicked simply because you are an undesirable class for a particular instance.

Stop using DF if you can. For the record, CM and Prae can be solo tanked by an AF geared WAR. Take the second slot for DPS.

Reporting doesn't work. I tried that once with a guy who stripped naked and wanted to just repeatedly wipe our primal hard mode fight. The official response I got back on the ticket was that there's nothing in the rules forcing a player to perform his role at all.

I've had the 'pleasure' to experience my first AFK leecher in CM yesterday. 7ppl wrote a report on him so I really hope SE will do something about his attitude.

Funny thing - guy woke up when we got to the last boss, and argued that he's not an AFK leecher, but his wife needed him!
