Im sure there was a thread around saying you will need to get the OTP reset by SE...which means calling them to verify your details...it is also handy to keep a record of the OTP someone secure...just like all passwords you should keep these details safeI'd love to get a token, really I would. But SE is making that near impossible.
I've since lost the token from 1.0. After much run around, SE finally lifted the restriction so I could log in without one. However, it's still listed as registered in SE's account management. So when I tried to add my new token, it wants me to manually remove the old token. To do that, I need a one time password from the old token. Thus, I can't use a token at all.

Thing is, I did call them. I sent in tickets. I did several chats. Basically, for me at least, contacting them only let me log in but not remove the registered security token. I'll probably try this again in the future, but considering how long the process took before and how they couldn't help then, I don't know if things will necessarily change.

That just seems unfortunate, sorry to hear...well the purpose of this thread is to point out that we should all be responsible of our own see security and not have to rely on the publishers all the time, they have provided an option for us to take up to enhance the security of our accounts and some just look it over and not do anythingThing is, I did call them. yet another ppl judging and u not know about us please...... not all of the people using torrent site like you do (or maybe u dont) and personal i pay every single game that i owned , music and movie thanksThis doesn't make you sound any better.
Ever think maybe the junk you are navigating to, doesn't have interest in games?
Maybe she opened up a SE phishing email. I've gotten 2 of those already. Look legit, but are fake.
That can also be a factor. Could also be her visiting many game sites, or game torrent sites.
Sigh..

I never said she downloaded torrents or any of the sort.
I said it's a possibility, course i don't know her. You are having a closed mind on this and claiming those who give insight and suggestions are stupid, retarded, or quick to judge.
I'm just simply giving you other things she "MAY" have done, not what she "DID" do.
For all you know she could have had a keylogger sitting in her computer for god knows how long, and those pricey anti viruses never picked it up.
It could be many many things! Sometimes even safe websites get keyloggers planted in them.
Antiviruses is only as good as how many times you make it scan in my opinion ~.~ As well as, your security is only as good as the person behind the keyboard.
So please, don't take this as a, she totally did X X X X. Just trying to push other things out that may have happened. -.- Next time i'm just going to stay away if i can't be a help.
