The only thread I've seen about someone with a token getting hacked was when the token was deactivated and it was hacked in the mean time. I've never seen a thread where someone who had an active token got hacked.

I was going to say...the physical token is a Citrix key similar to the one i use for work so unless they can physically obtain my serial number from it im sure im safe....I heard those with software/app tokens getting hacked but thats about it
Not sure which it was, was probably a app token.
Anyway, you shouldn't really need a token if S-E just had decent security.
You should be able to bind it to specific country, or specific IP adress like ???.???.*.*, have the 2 last once there as most have dynamic adresses. That would stop over 90% of hacked accounts I think.
But that would restrict you to play only on a specific IP and PC which will mean that if you for example go to a friends place to play on their PC for example you won't be able to..security token i think is one of the best options out there...with the app version if your phone gets hacked then there goes your dataNot sure which it was, was probably a app token.

It's not about SE security, its about users security, a lot of people visit dodgy websites unsuspectingly installing keyloggers on to their computer. Not sure which it was, was probably a app token.

Also many people have dynamic IP addresses which are changing all the time, you can't lock these people to that kind of system or you would never be able to log in.
so... explain to me , i visit tons of porn and dodgy site and i have no token register and never got hack but my gf never visit any of those just to play FF and how she get hack? we both install webroot anti virusIt's not about SE security, its about users security, a lot of people visit dodgy websites unsuspectingly installing keyloggers on to their computer.

Well maybe you are just lucky, or stupid ?
Maybe it will happen soon to you also, ya know what though you are so against the help people have provided in this thread (and the other one) it makes me think you are either a troll or you deserve to get hacked out of being so ignorant, good luck chappy you may need it.

Did you actually read what I wrote? Dynamic IP never change the entire number, it can only change between those numbers that an operator have registered. Hence why I had those 2 last once as any. Or able to chose by country. It's not about SE security, its about users security, a lot of people visit dodgy websites unsuspectingly installing keyloggers on to their computer.

Also, I never said it was mandatory, I said you should be able to, not forced to.
Ohh, you mean to say that banks security are 100%? Have you been reading/watching news the last few years?i'd like to meet the hacker that could do that, then even our banks are not safe, lol
Not sure how it's with bank tokens nowdays, but anyway, people are still getting their accounts emptied. So no, banks are not 100% safe, nothing is.
Really?
As a PC user it is also your responsibility to have decent security. You do realize most of the compromised accounts are from:
- weak passwords
- shared passwords
- phishing scam
- accessing gil seller sites thus getting keylogged
- malware/malicous software
- none having an actual active security/software token
I have yet to see factual evidence of an active security / software token being bypassed from the actual person compromised. I don't go by hearsay.

You forgot using same username and password on other websites. Remember then Curse Aion got hacked? lots of Aion magically got hacked due to users using same password!
