Not being a smart ass here but.. the way SE set up getting a lvl 50 weapon was kinda stupid. In order to Rank Up in your GC you need to first beat AK. Well everyone knows by now that AK can not be beat without either 3 people that already beat AK and your just tagging along or.. 2 you actually have already beat Ifrit HM and have your Ifrit Weapon. By doing 2 you pretty much rendered the whole Ranking Up in your GC useless.
The only thing they have is a lvl 50 weapon that is less in stats compared to the Ifrit weapon. So.. now you see why people try going into Ifrit HM with a level 47 weapon ? It's because thats all they can use. The Market is hit or miss getting a lvl 49 weapon and at 20k or more gil.
SE needs to fix the GC quest to open level 50 weapon prior to going into AK. Otherwise this will never change.

Just beat Titan HM tonight in duty finder. Group was mostly JP players. Me and off tank were PLD, was just a matter of having LB2 up to get past heart phase.

After ~20 failed runs I'd almost given up complete hope that this was doable in a duty finder group

But I guess the stars aligned and got a group that was totally focused.
