Party list disappeared in customized HUD - PS3

Steps:
1. I just slightly repositioned a bit various HUD elements because originally they bordered out he tv screen (it was the same in beta phase 3). Two of them were the limit break and party list windows. After starting the dungeon the party list was nowhere to be seen. I had to go to HUD configuration and restore all settings to default to fix it.

2. On another note, in a previous custom HUD setting the quest list went slightly under the minimap. And I know I didn't touch it to do so.

3. In a third setting I also moved up a bit the item description and the change didn't show.

To be honest my issues with the HUD would be all simply solved giving an option to resize the whole game screen on television and making it smaller so that I could leave some space on the borders.

By your description it seems like your TV is not displaying the picture in the fullscreen / PC / pixel mapping mode but rather using a normal TV Wide Screen mode which in majority of the cases "rescale" the original image to cut off about 3 -5 percent of the outside frame of the picture to hide the "imperfections" of the TV broadcast. Try to cycle the TV modes to find the one suitable for playing the games - depending on the TV manucturer / brand they might have differnt names but with the same result - like full screen, pixel mapping, Wide PC etc/

On PS3 you have 3 sizes for each element. Click R3 to rotate through them.
And when something doesn't show up check if the element name is purple, it means that it's hidden.
