    Monk Greased Lightning III time extension as equipment stat

    Sorry for my bad english.
    Hi guys,since every monk complaining about the greased lightning 3 time duration i was thinking to ask if in the near future SE can implement "a time extension" extra stat to our equip;for example: +2 greased lightning time extend in the af3 body,gloves,feet or accessories .What do you think?

    I'd like to see this kind of stuff with all classes personally. It would make gear selection more than just "pick whatever gives me the most of primary stat" and it would definitely add a lot to the game as far as I'm concerned. I wrote a post on this a while back but gear with cool new abilities, status effects, or random procs would be great. Gear is very bland as it stands.

    I'll start by saying that I agree, MNK needs some time extensions on a few things.

    There's a lot of threads out there of people complaining the MNKs suck. Obviously this is not the case since we are the highest dps.
    The problem is a lot of people can't handle juggling DoTs and buffs properly without letting them fall off and without clipping them.

    Here's what I think should be done:
    -Increase the duration for Greased Lightning. It's fine if you can just sit on the target, but melee has it much worse than ranged and we have to constantly move in and out of things or catch up to something. the increased time will give more leeway for when not able to just sit on the boss.
    -Increase the duration for Twin snakes buff by 6-8 seconds. As of now, there is no reason to use true strike because of the need to maintain twin snakes. If it was increased by 6-8 to a time similar to demolish (18s). this way true strike isnt useless and you can switch between twin snakes, true strike, twin, true, etc... like with demolish and snap punch. again also gives leeway for when you cant sit on boss 100% of the time.
    -Increase fracture duration. Even though it's a borrowed ability, it honestly should be longer to compensate for how often it has to be refreshed which cuts into our rotation. I don't even care if it does slightly less damage to make it even.
    -Give like 3 more seconds to demolish. As of now you can switch between demolish and snap punch every rotation. However demolish just as just as you reapply the new one perfectly. so if for the tiniest bit you arent sitting on the boss 100% uptime, then it can really hurt you.


    I can maintain all 3 of my DoTs, as well as both my buffs just fine, just as long as the boss doesn't move and i dont have to move. that's how tightly tuned the timing is on their durations. They really should've taken into account having to move in and out of stuff, or the boss moving, or switching to adds, or needing to throw in cooldowns in-between the current rotatio.

    I don't think it should be on gear though, it should be baseline.

    Well, why not make skill speed enhance time duration of grease lightning stacks ?

    Actually, increasing skill speed lower faster our TP, that's probably why Crit + Determination is a more interesting choice, despit there is a ton of skill speed on AF, i don't know if it would make any chance to use skill speed over crit.det tho.

    While this is a good idea in theory, the practical applications would end up hurting the MNK community in the short AND long term.

    Any and all MNKs would be universally required to have this item bonus, anything less and you would be subpar, making it harder for new MNKs to compete with those that do. Another bittersweet consequence would be a new "rotation" for MNKs; it'd be great, being able to weave in more abilities and keep DPS rolling while dodging AEs. The downside is unless the next tier of gear, AF4 for example, had the same bonus, no MNK would drop the bonus. The sheer convenience a bonus like that would grant is too great to pass up or give up willingly.

    The +GL duration should just be baked into the Class itself, not on an item.

    I would like for cool stuff like that added to the game but the problem with the MNKs is a core issue and putting something like that in the game would make it the clear option for getting gear. And would cripple future content loot system if it doesn't have that bonus as well. So them just increase the buff across the board would be a much better move.

    Twin Snakes buff - True strike should be reworked
    Haymaker should be off the gc and animation faster
    Howling Fist animation is too slow
    One inch punch/ ilm punch or whatever its called: its completely useless right now and should be reworked
    Fist of Wind and earth should be reworked
    Shoulder tackle timer should be shorter
    Arm of the Destroyer, completely useless right now. Does the silence even work? Complete revamp needed on this move.

    This is how broken mnk is right now. Its complicated enough to constantly watch your rotation and position yourself and to avoid AoE. Thats why alot of people think that mnk sucks or consider us a liability in end game boss fights.

    And posting about 300 dps a second doesnt help either. A fight against a wooden dummy is not the same as end game content.

    Here is all the ones I agree with, I'm pretty sure I'm retire my +1 MNK because I just find the class more annoying than fun atm. Its also one of the worse farming classes in the game.

    AoTD works just fine, you just have to be in the 1st stance which you can only get after the 3rd one so its really awkward to depend or use in the Coil.

    First of Earth is fine, its just a flat -10% DMG which is great for unavoidable damage. I normally switch between Fist and Fire doing end game content. Wind needs a bit increased movement or something else added to it.

    One Inch Punch is fairly bad, I have yet to find a important moment to use it besides removing the buff from the big guys in AK or just being silly farming stuff.
