    [Suggestion] UI lag improvements

I am currently running FFXIV on a very high end new PC that has no trouble with the game at all on max settings. The problem is the UI in pretty much every point, is so slow. Take for example using the Retainers. Trading items to and from it to store them takes an age, you are talking like 5-10 seconds per click. In this age of technology, we shouldn't be using something that is that slow.

Also the time between hitting a macro or spell on the action bars feels like I am playing on a wireless connection, please try to do something to improve these basic functions.

I was actually thinking the same thing. Why all the clicking, waiting, then the action is performed? That doesn't make sense to me either... Even during fights it there's a small delay between input and the action being performed. There's so much they could do to work around this.

It happens because this game uses server side confirmation before every action is performed. IMO, for a faster and more dynamic performance, they really need to improve client side, allowing the client to offer a response to players and contacting the server only for results.

I'd say its more for security...but i do would love seeing a much faster response in every single aspect of the game.

Server.... side... confirmations. It's an anti-RMT mechanic.

They need to push the entire UI and inventory management over to the client.

Also I doubt you're running this game maxed out and smooth. That runs contrary to every test done on these and other forums.

You can doubt it as much as you want, but on my i5 Sandybridge machine, its running without any efforts at all, and quite low CPU load overall, as I can also play Portal 2 maxed out in another window at the same time.
