50 WAR, is PLD worth it?

Hey everyone.

So I leveled up my warrior to 50 and got the AF chest piece then moved on to leveling crafts instead of gearing up for end game. After browsing the tanking forums I see that warrior's are copping quite a lot of negativity when it comes to end game tanking (e.g HM Titan).

I wanted to ask if it is worth leveling Paladin to 50 and gearing that way to increase my chances of getting dungeon/raid/hnm's, or is Warrior viable? Do they have just a bad reputation with the community atm? I have heard that anything a Paladin can tank, a Warrior can also however, it does make healing more stressful and people will prefer the Paladin hands down to the point where people just don't want a Warrior tank at all.

Also, if this is a good way to advance, does the Paladin and Warrior share the same armour end game? E.g, if I geared up my Paladin, I could just swap to Warrior once geared enough and use that armour instead of farming from scratch.

Now don't get me wrong here, I'm not after an easy way out. I love my warrior, great fun. I just don't think I'd enjoy not getting runs or people getting nasty just for being a Warrior. Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

All the AF gear has both PLD and WAR listed on it, so apart from Relics, your AF stuff will all be sharable. I am leveling a WAR personally (already 50 PLD).

DL gear is shared, AF isn't shared at all. Wut.
