What some of you are describing is poor performance by your own ISPs or overloaded zone servers from the massive number of people zerging fates etc.

There is however a latency problem. The netcode in FFXIV does very well to keep everything looking smooth and feeling responsive but when you have to dodge templates with short cast times it is incredibly noticeable how much latency there is for EU players.

Run 2 clients side by side or with a friend record each of your viewpoints of the same encounter and then watch them together.

As a tank I very regularly see myself meters outside of a template I dodged. But on my friends recording of the same fight played side by side you see where the server thought I was. Right in the template. That's the latency we need EU data centers to fix.
