It is NOT. When people around you don't move for a few seconds = INTERNATIONAL TRANSIT LAG. The position refresh delay is an other problem of its own but not the biggest problem for EU.
We, EU players, are fighting lags. We lost so many tries on titan and coils ONLY to lag. This affects everyone from our FC. Not always the same person.
We are all forced to use VPN to fight it. This is NOT acceptable.
Locking a thread is hardly an indicator of devs not wishing to resolve issues players are having. It's more of an indicator of the community not, or no longer, being able to provide any constructive feedback which is beneficial for the devs in doing so.
Try runing through him, he will knock you behind his backAs a tank, a very clear example on what's off with this game is Grand Strike on the third boss in CM.
What happens? Grand Strike is an attack directed towards the tank, it essentially turns back towards the tank, throws down a narrow red rectangle and upon hit, it knocks you backwards. How to avoid it? Obviously, you want to get out of the red.
So, what happens in practise? You side step out of the red. .... Wait what, knockback?!
Like you said this is clearly not latency issue even though it can have some contribution to this, 100 ping is not that bad for this kind of MMO.
Similar thing happens with ifrit charge, sometimes i see ppl out of it and still getting hit or right in the effect and not getting dmg. Its all about position detection and graphical interpretation of danger zones.
Then why would the mod who closed the thread ask us to continue posting in the feedback forum (which barely anyone is reading)? And why are threads like " ★ SHOW YOURSELF ★ ( ^ ω ^ )" still open? Do they provide constructive feedback for the devs?
The locked thread was comparatively civil from what I've seen, so there's really no reason it shouldn't stay open if people still want to talk about the issue. But apparently SE prefers to sweep it under the rug.
If you are having to use a VPN that is a big indication that it's an ISP related problem and not something SE server side related as your VPN ends up setting up better pathways than what the ISP's have determined to forward your packets. Plopping a data centre in EU won't fix it if the packet's aren't being handled properly by the ISPs.It is NOT. When people around you don't move for a few seconds = INTERNATIONAL TRANSIT LAG. The position refresh delay is an other problem of its own but not the biggest problem for EU.

no latency for EU /end sarcasm.
Srly i really consider not re-subbing... every 0815 MMO company is able to host EU Server in the EU cause the EU market is one one of the biggest for gaming! Seems not for Final Fantasy![]()
SE will maybe do something if the in-game lag will produce a lag in their income![]()
I'm not going to be aggressive about it, but I am playing with double the ping I usually have to put up with. Going from 170 ms to 300+ is uncomfortable at times. As it is, I have to react to AoE before they happen, if you're in the middle of it forget about avoiding that damage. Titan HM is going to be a treat, I'm sure - but everything so far has been more than manageable.
Of course, as someone said above, PvP isn't going to be super competitive when your opponents have at least half a second on you.
