You're gonna love his Weight of the Land attack. If you weren't already pre-dodging it, take the hit and the scolding of your team mates (who will most likely KO before you, ohohoh).
The worst part about lag is, even if you don't make mistakes, it looks as if you do. I'd prefer to make mistakes instead, at least then I could get better. As it stands now, the final boss of FFXIV is latency. And people not getting hit are espers. :P

It seems to be a lot of variety if you get a instance with high latency or not. As worst I get times when it is 20 seconds of no data being received, but most of the time it is not any problems at all.
I'd blame my wireless, but Internet and all other functions work fine during these dead moments in instances.
This is very useful, thx for the info!
Also I am well aware its not just my country/eu that has the problems and that its a problem as a whole. SE really needs to get this fixed, i tried a few tricks to help linked below.

Exactly. People seem to tune out the second someone mentions that it's actually due to the internal lag built into the game (via the 300ms polling period, which is plain unacceptable and as far as I'm aware the only other MMO to have anything similar to this was SWTOR and look how that turned out).I'm so sick and tired of this topic. the main problem is not the LOCATION of the servers. it's the internal latency. people from the US, heck, even people who live in Canada, have the exact same problems.
it's the position check. and if you have lag during specific times that should give you the BIGGEST hint that it's obviously not the location.
in every single MMO I've ever played this happened. during 'peak time' a lot of people have issues. you would still have these problems if the servers were placed in England or Germany or something. your provider is most likely blocking ports.
please go post in the topic that specifially asks for you to post where you live, which provider you have, when you have issues and how they appear.
you are NOT helping to make SE fix this issue when you ask for a EU datacentre where the same problems will .still. appear.
It does not matter where you live, you're being affected by this. It's just that those of us outside of Japan or North America have the additional latency from our geographical location added onto the internal lag and it hits a threshold where the game becomes nigh unplayable (and there are complaints from people living within the US and Canada as well, so it's not just us). And yes while some people may be suffering from throttling issues with their ISPs on top of this, it's important to note that most of us are still on ISPs that do not throttle (myself included) and yet we're still seeing these problems.
Don't expect PvP or Endgame content to be anything but a joke if this core issue isn't addressed.
