Worst end game community ever?

People are completely insane right now.


Honestly, from what I've seen lately NA just can't handle this game.
There's absolutely no concept of anything but MAX DPS FULL TIME ALL THE TIME or GTFO


No helping anyone
No strategy
No Support

I think it'll take some time for these things to even out, and also not everyone is bad. But Holy Crap... As a community these bad attitudes/players are very very common.

1. Have a FC and they help
2. If you dont express your new, the strategy is more or less the same throughout.
2.1. If expressed your new while in a DF with me atleast we slowly progress and teach
3. See Point 1

Additional points
4. You should not expect friendly people in DF. You should always run first runs with a FC to expect less b****ing and allowing of CS.

Haven't seen a pleasant FC yet on my server, most are either a) hyper elitist, immature, and or filled with people who love to use words like 'baddie' 'scrub' 'bro' etc OR b) mature but basically casual leveling guilds which means = no end game for a long long time. There seems to be no middle ground....still looking.

I have only just got to level 30 so I cant say anything about end game but up till now I have had no problems with the duty finder at all. all the people I have run with have been nice easy going people who have been happy to have a laugh and all that. I'm hoping by the time I get to end game there will be more of the same people going at the pace I am and hopefully wont get abused . I'm just hoping haha

I dont understand why you need darklight or why ppl are so insane about it ( for speed runs yeah i guess i understand) but seriously Amdapor Keep is more than doable in full AF, i dont understand where people got the idea that you need darklight in order to do it.

We found that to do it in any normal stretch of time, at least a FEW pieces of darklight were needed, or at least a primal weapon to make sure the foray into the dungeon didn't last the full two hours.

That's just my opinion, but Square Enix are adding a gear requirement for dungeons come patch 2.1 which should solve the issue.

Well seeing as the assholes can't really get any higher than level-cap, I don't see how they wouldn't be waiting for you when you get here.

I've been playing MMOs for a decade now, even those with free open world PVP, and I must admit this game has the worst community ever (no, I don't play WoW cause I still want to enjoy new MMOs). But I do think it has more things to do with the game's design...

Most of the cutscenes are meaningless, badly scripted with terrible acting, I watched all of them just out of curiosity, since the story itself is interesting, although not that good. Most of those CS should have been converted to in-battle conversations & make the pace a lot smoother, while avoiding situations like spd run as well.

Furthermore, the game has too many instance-based dungeons, where all the elitists shine. Open world activities are almost non-existent at end game. I know they'll be adding more, but I doubt it will make any differences, since the main activity, FATEs, are boring as well no matter how they tweak it.

Personally I'll be staying in this game, probably till patch 2.2 & see what happens, but my FC already plan to transfer to another JP server. Although it's gonna be hard to decide when new MMOs come out lol.

I've had a generally positive experience. It's more like 65/35 for me. Really it's just veterans and elitists that frustrate me. That said, I wouldn't really call the populace of the NA/EU FFXIV:ARR a community as it's not exactly established yet. I think we'll see the real community once the free trial has ended as a lot of players tend to become tense and short-tempered once free trial periods near their end.

As far as I can tell, the community hasn't really matured or developed yet as the FCs are still their own individual communities. I think after 2-3 months from now, we will definitely get an idea as to the true nature of this community, especially since the hooplah and emotions of launch will be a complete thing of the past.

I promise you eng game is VASTLY different than the casual dungeons you do along the way. Take my word.

SE made the preraid grind really long that you need to run the same dungeon about 76 times to get full darklight people are sick of doing it and they want to do it fast. Pretty much full darklight is what you will need before starting coil.

So much this. 1-49 was a joke and I pretty much tanked (not willingly!) most dungeons as a WHM until lvl 50 but after that I don't tank so well.....buff please! j/k
