Yes I'm on a JP server and I never had any issues like you guys mentioned, kind of sad really, but I expected as much since I've seen first hand the kids playing WoW and their incessant shouting, much better on the JP servers, come over - join us

I hear so that the DF is better on the JP side, only problem is I cant speak a word of Japanese though but never mind that. On YouTube a few people who make guides are from EU and play on the JP servers without hassle from time to time.

Basically, I agree with you completely, most of the community are negative and rude people.

I guess i'm lucky, my server, Cactuar, has it's share of a** hats who feel "elite." but it's a fairly small group. I've been farming CM for weeks now, and i'm full darklight and relic weapon, but my FC is completely against douchebaggery, and we find quite a few ppl who are the same. as far as speed runs go, if you're in duty finder, and they try to force you into a speed run, tell them to enjoy being a man down for most of it. enjoy your cutscenes, because they are yours. /shout in revenent's toll is where people who want successful speed runs, get their people. the ones in duty finder, are there because they cant put a group together.

give it time, the clowns will burn themselves out, move onto the next step, or their mom's wont pay their subscription. if you're Free Companyless, check the servers forums page for FC's recruiting and see what they're looking for and transfer when that is available. you never know, maybe one is recruiting on your server as well.

I've been lucky for the most part with DF, but mainly because I was already 50 from 1.0 and did my story quests when many others were doing so. However, when I queue up for CM for example, and there are new people in the party, I generally slow down, forcing the party to also slow down (considering I always queue as WHM )

I do believe there's should be an option/toggle to automatically skip cutscenes after the first run, because it gets really annoying having to manually skip them, and while they are great cutscenes, I really don't want to watch them multiple times a day =)

I have to say, after reading these forums I decided to stop doing dungeons for the time being and spare myself the anguish of having to be paired with horrible people in DF. Shout groups are not much better in that the majority all request the same thing - gear being the number one priority (pretty hard to get anything if you have to avoid DF in the first place).

I can't believe that in this day and age this being a product that is created and packaged in Japan (where politeness and tolerance are a way of life) that we have a game that is teaming with people that are absolutely neither.
SE will soon realise that the core make-up of their player base for this game are casual/veteran gamers that have little time to be dealing with the poor attitudes and cyber bullying.

Sooner or later it will tip one way or the other - either the casual crowd will leave through not being able to participate in any endgame content to progress further, or the hardcore bullies will quit through boredom after power gaming their way to the best gear etc.

I sincerely hope for SE's sake that it is the latter.

I don't see myself playing for a long time to come if it stays like this.

Honestly I haven't came across people with bad attitudes in DF. People doing low damage yes, but often that is enough to make some people rage quit.

Worst gaming community is in Perpetuum. I swear that the game were people go after being perm banned from all other mmos. No joking they will try to find out real life information about you just to harass you there as well. Honestly if you are letting people who have no effect on your life what so ever push you around in a game maybe you need to avoid the internet. Harsh I know but it brings out the worst part of some people. Black list them. They have no power over you unless you give it to them. You are the only one in control of your gaming experience. Either stop playing, do something else with in the game, or ignore the idiots. It's not up to SE to make you happy. Get off your butt and make yourself happy. You are the only one that can. Not everyone in DF are evil and horrible people. I've met some total dbags and I have met some great people. You are letting 2 experiences affect how you view the community. That makes you no better then the dbags you complain about.

The main problem with it is when cut scenes happen. They often happen while you are fighting or sneaking past mobs. Castrum has to be the worst at this.

There is a few solutions to this:

    * Have cut-scenes not play until after a fight has finished.
    * Have boss room enter cut-scenes not play until everyone in the party is inside.
    * Don't let any boss fight start while someone is watching a cut-scene.
    * Have a little "5 sec countdown until cut-scene" popup in the corner of your screen so you can cancel it before starts.
    * An option in the duty finder to sign up to a dungeon with or without cut-scenes.

At the start my FC asks the people if it is their first and we explain to them why we skip the cut-scenes. We have run it a few times with cut-scenes when people have asked us to let them watch it cause it is their first time and they don't want to watch it afterwards in the inn.

PS: Politeness needs to come from both sides. No "F#$K YOU I am going to watch them" and if you want to watch cut-scenes please say so so we know to wait for you and adjust the way we do things so everything goes smoothly. Don't stay quiet and complain if we don't wait for you.

My favorite group that defeated the general dbag was one I joined last week.

There we were, trying to do Praetorium. I had done it weeks ago and was just helping out. On my first run, I was asked to skip CSs and was pretty sad I never got to ride the you-know-what.

We enter as someone already starts arguing for the CS-side before anyone says anything. I was totally with him on that.

But then.... ONE person started acting up like you would expect them to. He wanted us to skip all CS and shut up in general.

This is what happened: I declared that I was just there to help (Healer) same as other people in the group who were forced to skip in their first run. Sidenote: you can't get all CS in your room!
And, I declared I would watch Cutscenes, cause they're epic and hell, why not. Me doing this prompted almost the whole group to do the same, except that one BLM (but what can he do alone?).

In the end...we all got to run the instance as it was meant to be. We were all happy we did and enjoyed the CS very much. This is a Final Fantasy game... the story matters, not everyone wants to grind on mindlessly and sh** on people every time they make a mistake. Heck, you might even enjoy a change of pace and helping that elderly lady cross the street (noob metaphor).

tl;dr There are good people around, I wish you all the best luck in finding them...or me (Sargatanas).

P.S. our dbag in this run had the cutest name... which disturbed me the most about his attitude.
