Worst end game community ever?

I really dont understand why everyone is so pissy about it. These are whiney little drama queen jerks out toruin peoples day ... ignore them.

Make a marco to use once some dbag starts with his drama, stating something along the lines of "<t> is being a whiney annoying little bitch so im turning off party chat and tells. Thats it, worse case scenario, group falls apart. Honestly, anyone that drops group for such an insignificant reason is an idiot. Even a tank would be smarter to bite down and finish over take a 15 minute penalty only to start all over.

If we all do it well ... im sure theyd build a bridge and get over if after their fifth consecutive restart and getting nothing in the process.

I know you just hit 50, and the people around you suck, but I would like to extend my offer regardless, Come to my server, I'll invite you to our LS.

Our LS is for helping new to 50 gear up and get ready for endgame, we have geared people running with them all the time, and constantly helping. Then if the person we are helping is good, and friendly and fun, we invite them to our FC, regardless if they join our not the LS is an extension of our family and we care for the people in it. I know restarting sounds horrible, and I understand, but the offer is there whenever you want.
NO ONE should have to suffer like you just for being new to endgame. NO ONE.

Try not letting it effect you. Ill be honest the couple real life friends I have who act like clowns in these mmos. Meaning they think there better then everyone plays 24/7 feels the need to insult others etc literally live worst then animals in a zoo they work part time at the local DQ play till 3am wake up at noon live in there parents garage. Drive a pos car and literally have nothing. Just remember this the next time you meet one of these clowns. There's probably a reason why they act like that.

Sadly people do speed runs for fast tombs, thats it. Remember you can go back and watch the Cut scenes in your INN, just go to the book and pick the section you wanna watch. but like others said join a FC or a LS with some good people. Also welcome to how MMOs are sometimes also i know a friend who plays on a JP server and they have people who do Speed runs also. To the extent NA/EU servers? no clue but they do it to lol.

You really have to give MMO's a few months before you start shedding some of those "Dbags." Like most people have said any game with a LFG tool(duty finder) and you will see this. I searched on my servers forum to find a like minded FC and now i could not be more happy. I don't have to use the DF near as much. I complete content much easier and they always explain new content and help me learn.

Right now it's pretty common and pretty awful sadly. It is part of the influence WoW has had on the MMO world, which I'm sure we can all agree is just... wonderful. That's not to say I didn't encounter elitist back in EQ and other MMOs of old, but there was certainly a better overall community. For every bad player however there are good players too. Heck everyone in this topic is probably not so bad since they see and understand the issue.

Honestly the best thing you can do in those situations is try to defend/help the player in the group that is being attacked. Everyone is new to a dungeon at some point and harassing them isn't going to help them though it or encourage them to play the game. With any luck many of these people will go back to WoW when a new expansion drops.

I grind WP and AK long enough to fill in lower level slots of gear. I have gotten 4 DL pieces two for brd and 2 for whm. I have completely lost interest in getting more and haven't even tried titian hard yet. While I have had more good groups then bad ones I did AK Friday it was smooth as can be no deaths and the fastest boss kills I have experience to date. At the end the damn pld still said I sucked cause I didn't cast ensuna. one of the 5 or 6 times in the last boss fight. F*** YOU. Complaining when there nothing to complain about is the way of this community.

I was leveling Blm decided I must complete the Battlemage set. Got a group that couldn't kill the last boss I was tanking every try. After the third wipe I Examine the group the other blm still wearing level 9 jewelry and all quest gear of varying levels. Same with the pld who fortunately got all the pink gear from that run since thats all that ever drops. The sch just sucked on top of having crap gear. I still stuck with them and tried my best to make up for there short comings but just couldn't make it work. More player like them hit 50 everyday. I can see some of the attitude being justified but end gamers complain about things before they even attempt them. Like the tank in an Ifrit(hard) instance who quit soon as it started cause there was no blm in the group.

I only really have ffxi to compare it to but I remember end game being far more laid back in that. I certainly don't remember any of these problems in sky, dynamis etc

I don't believe even SE knows the average age of their players. That info was not anywhere in my account creation screens that I remember.

So not sure where your data comes from on that.

As an almost 43 year old player, I find some of the worst people are in my demographic: older working adults. Some years back when my nephew was a bit too young, playing WoW at then 11, I'd watch what he was up to and it was frankly harmless and rarely rude. It was very juvenile - but more silly. Stuff like trying to convince people to run around on gnomes in their underwear dancing in cities... or telling jokes from cartoon characters. Once he became a teen, he lost all interest in the MMOs that 'old people' where playing - preferring to spend his time on Facebook chatting up girls.

But people I know are adults, married, sometimes with kids - they were get downright vile in these games. Only two times in WoW was I ever able to find nicer more polite communities. First when it was a guild of notably older players. Me at then my later 30s being the youngest member by almost a decade. And second a family guild, where many parents gamed with their kids - so policies were in place about conduct and the kids were not at all problematic. That guild only blew up when we got more 20/30-somethings that were full of rage.

Don't presume that the bad community you find at endgame here is age-related. Many factors can be at play, but I do not agree that that is notably one of them.
