Duty Finder and Speed Runs.

I have recently hit the Duty Finder over the past few days doing Praetorium and Castrum Meridianum noticing that new players who want to watch the cutscenes are being harassed by players who want to just get through it screaming at them, literally, to skip cutscenes. While I understand that you want to speed run dungeons at times, make a party on your server to do it instead of slamming new players to skip their story in the Duty Finder. There's plenty of time to do the fights and watch the cutscenes. Off your high horse please and thank you.

Write down the names of the people harassing new players.

Look them up on the Lodestone after the run.

Report them, make sure to include at what time you did the run, what world they are from, and what world you are from.

Just keep in mind you can't report them for not waiting for you (killing enemies and bosses while you're watching the cut scene) or leaving the group when you do those things. I'm not condoning what they're doing, but they have the right to continue playing just as much as you do watching the scenes. Them harassing you for doing so, however, I totally support reporting.

You can't report people for skipping ahead, no, but if they're OK with skipping ahead with less players, whatever, you're getting a free run AND get to watch the cutscenes.

Just make sure to report the ones being assholes about it.

I personally got someone banned last week for doing it. Some silly bard in crappy gear who kept insulting everyone. Reported him. For one week he didn't improve a single piece of his gear, as if he couldn't log in. And now I can't even look him up on the Lodestone anymore.

Musta been permabanned.

Goes to show people: don't yell at new players for watching the cutscenes. SE ain't happy about it.

I'll jump on this wagon and publicize My Link Shell on Moogle specifically made for normal/story runs.
Come with us and none wille give you shit for watching cutscenes, we will most likely watch them too again cause those are awesome!
