    "First time here"

This is no excuse to not have any clue what a boss does, run around face pulling packs, and standing in every single red circle on the ground, while showing up in white gear.

    Google exists use it.

*this really only applies to the level 50 dungeons/raids

Edit : it is not surprising this community lacks reading comprehension. I never said to go watch videos, even though that is not hard, and no it does not ruin anything. It takes litteraly 30 seconds to type in the dungeon or boss name into google and read two sentences describing the mexhanics of the fight. Boss abilities are very straight forward in this game, hiw hard is it to not stand in front of them and not stand in the obvious red circles on the ground. There is a very clear and easy path to gearing up in this game, stop using df to get into groups you are not ready for expecting to be carried. I could care less what any of you did pre 50 as I was never talking about that

You should have no problem with a person wanting to learn, for example, AK from the run itself.

No, never did it in WoW not going to do it here. I'll ask when i enter or before a boss if anyone has any advice but i'm not going to look around for a hand holding guide.

there is no excuse for you not to be able to spend a minute explaining a boss fight in a game with difficulty that is defined as not sitting in visual cues and interrupting casts

i could understand if you were uncomfortable leading a raid in world of warcraft or something because of the level of complexity in those encounters, but you're literally telling people not to stand in shit when you play this game

this game is so easy that you could train chimps to run ak for myth

So you people don't want "hand holding guides", but me having to explain the same fight for the 25th time in a row is acceptable? Sorry it's not my job to teach these things over and over.

Also not sure why you people want to keep comparing this to wow. Early wow dungeons/raids were extremely easy and simple. Even when I left at the start of panda land dungeons and raids were face roll easy minus their hard mode counter parts.

There's a huge difference between winging it when you have level appropriate gear and half a brain and winging it while standing in everything while wearing white gear, that's what the op is trying to say. The amount of dungeons you have to run to finish your story should be plenty enough to figure out not to stand in everything bad and to actually have a clue about gear. Literally half or more of all boss mechanics are "do not stand in the bad" if you can get that down pat then it honestly shouldn't even require videos, guides or explanations.

And this is where I label you selfish douche bag and quit this thread. Honestly not everyone has a high end PC to Google shit on while playing the game, and others like myself learn best from doing whatever it is we're running, I play on a PS3 with a freaking controller and I always take the time to stop and explain to a newbie how to do something if they ask. It's called common courtesy, take your head out of your ass and try it, or better yet go back to WoW, they miss you and your kind there.

It'll be a cold day in hell before I study a guide or videos before being allowed to play. What did people like you do before Google and YouTube? I'd rather play the game.

Now that being said, I also don't expect you to hold my hand through it either. Just because you have run it twenty-five times and it's old news to you doesn't mean that I'm expected to know it as well as you on my first run. Get over yourself.

That's the way I feel. If you want to give some tips or things to look for, fine, but I learn better by experience. I just did Qarn this weekend, and one person out of the four had done it before and was trying to explain the boss fight to us, but it was just confusing what he was saying. At a certain point the other three of us just said, "Let's just do this and we'll figure it out. May take a couple times." And that's exactly what happened. Died the first time, but figured out what we did wrong, said, "Okay, now we got it." Went back in and got the win. Point is, there's no replacement for experience. Just go in and play and figure things out, and if you die you die. It happens. Learn from it and go back in and get the win.
