Invalid Early Access Code

Hi there,

I've recently obtained an unused early access code from a friend. While I know early access is over, the redemption website states that the code is still valid until 12/31/13 to redeem the in-game content.

Whenever I try to submit my code on the redemption website (http://preorder.na.finalfantasyxiv.com/), I am displayed the following error message: "Error 1: There was a problem with your code. Please make sure you have entered it correctly."

Why exactly is my code not working? Is the server having issues? The code is in the AAAAAA-###-AAAAAA-### format, and should be valid.

The codes had a lot of issues. If it begins with RAAE then it's a European code and won't work if you are in NA. These incorrect region preorder codes were sent to numerous users.

If your friend ended up with an extra code then I suspect this is why.

Nope, the code has no 4 digit section, let alone one that starts with RAAE. It is in the form AAAAAA-###-AAAAAA-###.

Are you using all caps?

The input field converts all characters to caps automatically, but yes, I have tried inputting with both upper and lower cases.

bump.. I've also placed a ticket with SE support, but it'd be nice to know if the servers are having problems or if anyone else has had a similar problem.
