Action queueing in last 0.1 secs of GCD not working with macros

Apologies if this has already been mentioned, I tried a search but couldn't find anything. If I cast Cure for example I can queue up another Cure if I try to cast within 0.1/0.2 seconds of the global cooldown finishing. If I macro Cure (e.g. /ac Cure <me>) I don't get the same behaviour. It'd be great if macros worked the same way, anyone else agree?

This is an issue I've been researching across multiple sites and there is no concensus as to how to macro around it you can't even make a list of commands without a wait command between them which is a huge handicap for macros unfortunately.

This is true. There's another issue even as well - skill speed can't be accounted for in /wait.

For example, Warrior has some items that improve skill speed, which, in my case currently lowers the GCD from 2.5 to 2.48. /wait 2.48 does not work, and /wait 2.49 does not work either, so either I lose out on those miliseconds to macro my abilities (which feels a lot longer then it probably actually is) or I do them manually (or with an advanced macro keyboard). It would appear that the wait command only obeys the first decimal. This makes Skill Speed gear even less useful then it currently is for those who wish to macro.

This could also be further compounded due to the report rate being 300ms.

    Meh.

I have to agree this is a major issue when I'm making macros. My typical skill CD is 2.42 but I have to program for 3 because of GCD. However if I press all these buttons manually I can actually use them BEFORE the GCD finishes. Now this could be due to Client>Server or Server>Client lag/latency but one thing is for sure, it's definitely a nuisance.

I've been searching everywhere for a way to get around this too, it's really annoying and it made me stop trying to use mouseover macros for healing cause I can't chain cast the cure spell as smoothly when using a macro. I wish SE could do something about this ><
