Trying to upgrade my gaming computer and need a little help.

So my computer is built from scratch on a low budget, but now I've come into some cash and want to upgrade, but being as it was my first real computer build I'm still a little lost on what needs upgraded and what does not.

    Specs:

    Intel i5 2500k 3.3GHz
    Gigabyte
    GTX660 Ti video card
    XFX 550W power supply

It has 8gb Ram and 500gb memory

My biggest complaint is the lack of usb support for my motherboard. I have 2 usb in the back and only 1 usb in the front. Not very good at all. I'm looking for more like 6 usbs. Another thing is I've been thinking about trying to SLI instead of purchase a better card. Thoughts?
    Suggestions for a motherboard?
    Anything? lol

    Thanks for the help.

Edit: I forgot to say that yes my motherboard supports 6 usb but the way they have them set up my mother board is crowded by the gtx 660 ti and I can't plug 3 of them in.

500gb of memory.. Just install FFXIV ARR and windows right thar

No need to get a new mother board.. Best upgrade you can do is SSD and a new video card. If you want more USB ports spend 10 bucks on a USB spliter.. Problem solved. No one really needs SLI.. If you go SLI you will def need a 700watt + PSU

oh yeah i can run the game just fine usually average around 53fps, this is more of a personal hobby I want to start. I really enjoyed the building the first time and what to do some modifications but I wanted to make sure I was getting the correct equipment seeing as I'm new to computer building.

Build a computer around for what you need it for.. If you only play a few games and you are happy with the performance then dont upgrade. If you are not happy with it then upgrade the parts that will give you a performance. No reason to build a computer to run FF at 100 fps.

Ram IS memory. I think you meant HDD space?
Get a SSD drive. Windows will love you for it, and certain games with lots of LoD or cell loading love SSD's.
You need a new case with more ports up front....or get a drive bay adapter. And/or a mobo with more ports in the back. Or you could just use a splitter....lol.
I take it you're not overclocking cuz you don't come across tech savy and you list your cpu at stock clock. That's a shame, get more juice out of that 2500k....it's a K. It's as simple as increasing the multiplier, and ading a teeny bit of vcore.
About SLI, I don't think much of it. Get one good card. I keep seeing a sale on two different 7970's for $320. Crazy deal...other wise 7950 or gtx770.

Get a SSD asap though :P you don't know what you're missing.

lolz. a 5670 is NOT on the same page as a gtx560 ti. They aren't in the same price /performance bracket. And don't buy prebuilt, learn to build.

No clue how to overclock nor do I know if I have the fan to support it. I'm running the stock fan that came with the processor. I have 2 ports in the back and 2 ports in the front but only 1 port on the front works because I can't connect the other usb ports onto the motherboard, my gtx 660ti is blocking the ports. Would the SSD be an addon to to the 500HDD space? Or replace it? Also what would I install on which? I built the thing to play GW2 initially but it has become more of a home computer now so I have many programs installed on the HDD atm and I currently use a splitter but I don't like the look of 4 cords coming front of my PC. I use a mouse and Razer Keyboard(2 ports needed), PS3 Cap Card, headset, wireless internet adapter. That is 6 ports right there. The usb is my biggest issue with my pc atm.

Typically what you want to do is have a SSD (doesn't even need to be bigger than 80gbs honestly) install your OS on it + a game/programs you want to load FAST, while everything else gets written to your other HDD (pictures, videos/pron, documents, blah blah blah). Then there's quite a few tweaks with folder structures and pathings I like to do to prevent anything writing to the SSD other than what I specifically tell to (also I tend to move my Page files to my HDD, simply because I have 20+ gb of RAM and disable Sleep/Hibernate). Your computer will Boot much faster, FFXIV and any other applications you install on it will run much faster... and you'll love life. SSD upgrades typically feel like upgrading your entire computer for the price of 1 component. Gratz!

Oh, what I meant was I'm trying to change my graphic card to what the OP had. I find my 5670 to be.. very insufficient haha

So what he found obsolete is to be my new spec >_>
