Why. The. [radio edit]. did Square decide to put the 3 final story dungeons in a place where they can be "farmed." This led to my first CM experience being drug along like a confused child through a grocery store on what should have been an intense penultimate story experience.
I'm not mad at the players for speed-running this, they need their little mouse pellets to feel better about life, I get that... I'm pissed at the designers for designing the game this way.
It's flat out bad game design. You don't force a player to sit in an hour long queue, only to be drug through what should be an intense story experience. I had literally no role to play, no idea what fight was what, no idea what "do the cannons" means to this blank-ing minute... this whole experience ruined this game for me in a big bad way. I almost have zero desire to run the final dungeon, since I'm relegated to experiencing the story in what amounts to me 'watching youtube' at the inn.
