Average Gameplay time per week: 4-5 Guildleve resets a week with an approximate 2 hours per 8 guildleves performed if the player only logs in to do 8 battleleves 2x5 is 10 hours. 10 hours a week. Game has been released for almost 8 months. 4 weeks a month 8x4 is 32 weeks. 32 weeks times 10 hours is 320 hours.

Absolutely not. This game is still not where it should be for an MMO that launched recently. When it has as much content and polish as Rift and even Tera (in beta) then we'll start talking.

Maybe not but you can definaltely see the work-force isn't that big on this game, for a company as big as Square that is rather suprising.

Edit: I wouldn't pay for this game yet for sure, there's a hell of a lot to be done. Perhaps around August it'll be acceptable but until then, no way.

I would. I genuinely enjoy the game as it is and I'm looking forward to the updates they have planned. I see no reason not to. That being said I'm extremely grateful that they have not decided to ask us to pay yet. The game is about to go some fundamental changes so I imagine they figure it should wait until afterwards.

I think that paying the monthly fee to help development would be reasonable but they could also add in some micro-transaction stuff to help with that until they deem it ready for a monthly charge. Open up the retainer options, I'd pay for that. Allow us character gender/race, name, cosmetic changes, people would pay for that.
