A few threads post a lot of info on Macs but couldn\\'t find any on this.
Has anyone got FFXIV:ARR to work on any Mac that uses an Intel graphics card?
Officially for Windows only Nvidea and AMD. But of course nothing for Mac.

I'm going to test the Intel 4600 since that's on my system. I have a mac with the Intel 4000, but I can already tell you it's too weak unless you're running Bootcamp, as there's almost a 50% loss in performance if you run it under Parallels.
Non-crowded area
Maximum settings: 7fps 1920x1080
Standard Desktop: 22fps 1920x1080
Standard Laptop: unchanged
22fps is playable, but the 4600 is about 40% faster than the 4000, so you'd be lucky to get 15fps, which isn't really playable.

Why would there be any difference? If it lists NVidia and AMD you need to run Windows in Boot Camp so the requirements are the same.
ARR is currently a Windows game. Of all the ways to run Windows software on a Mac, the best performance will always be Boot Camp + Windows. That way you boot directly into Windows and nothing is emulated. WINE is not easy to set up with ARR, if it works at all, and VM/emulators like Parallels and VMWare are very slow when it comes to resource-hungry things like games.
On top of that, Intel graphics (which one?) isn't stellar, and even the latest one isn't great at 1080p, as KisaiTenshi reported. With the 4000 you might eek by at 720p and low settings via boot camp.
Even if/when SE releases the game for Mac, don't expect it to run faster than Boot Camp + Windows. (Maybe even ~10% slower framerates if they stick to using Microsoft's proprietary 3D calls.)
