It's been a long road here for many 1.0 players. I like these kind of threads and if anyone would like to get involved, I'm sure there are some hilarious things to be said.
Back in my day, we thought Urianger was evil.

Back in the days... we threw stones at Ifrit to stun Hellfire!
... we didn't stun eruption.
... only leveled off coblyns.
... guesstimated AoE radius.
... were excited to see notorious monsters.
... we feared being spotted/smelled/heard by monsters higher level than us.
... lopped off the tails of lizards, cracked crab shells, crippled dodos, and broke the horn off of goats and even Ifrit.

Back in my day we hunted for the ancient cyclops for hours to get our journeymen boots. Wait, too far back you say? Hm.

Back in my day, Coerthas was green!! (still upset about this!)
Back in the day, it took a few weeks to hit level 50 and we loved every minute of it....even ground through the fatigue. Can you imagine the tears and tantrums if it took that long now....
Back in my day.... Classes were utterly worthless once you unlocked Jobs and they weren't meant to be...
Oh wait, that's still the case...
